10 great images captured with smartphones #93

We're back with the 93rd post in our special photographic-centric series where we present you with a number of awesome images taken by... well, you (and your cell phones).

So, which picture did you like most last time? The answer is Niko Lindstrom's photo, taken with the Nokia Lumia 1020. And a pretty well-deserved first place it is, we should say!

Of course, there are many other incredible images left to be seen. Let's continue with another set of 10 pics, each of which can easily convince even the most professionally-inclined photographer that cell phones are more than a toy in the camera department.

Please note that if your own awesome image is not included here, this doesn't mean that it won't end up on the site. We simply might not have gotten to it yet! So, we urge you to continue following us, as we'll be publishing more of these truly great photos in the following days and weeks.

We'd also like to remind you that you can continue submitting your cool cell phone pics to the following email address:

In order to not miss on all the glory, you also have to mention your name/nickname, as well as the phone you used to take the shots. A nice additional piece of info would be a name or a short description for the image.

With that, we now leave you with our 93rd set of favorite photos...

I think we spend way too much time comparing irrelevant camera specs of different phones, instead of thinking about what's important. Capturing that great shot. The Nexus 5 camera isn't considered the best, but the shot speaks for itself.

It's not the camera. It's the photographer. And there are filters, too. So yea, that shot from the Nexus 5 looks great.

I want to like #10, but it looks like either HDR or post-editing. I'm perfectly fine with HDR, but I don't think post-editing is in the spirit of this particular contest. #3 and #4 are both excellent to me. #3 is a great scene, and #4 is fantastic composition.

The look of those sunbeams tells me the photo was put through editing or filters. And the colors of the whole pic doesn't look like it's HDR alone. I'm no expert though, so I could be wrong.

I picked first 3, 4 and 10. 10 looked eerie and intriguing, but really did not awake any feeling in me other than that. 4 was nice, but taken through a window and the reflections distracted me. 3 was... the one. I could not find anything wrong with it and it conveyed a lot of tranquility, mystery, ancestry, little bit of nostalgia, little bit of hope and even little bit of excitement. So there we go: 3
