Zune with Windows Mobile 7 to debut at MWC?
According to the editorial director of Spanish web site MuyComputer, Javier Pérez Cortijo, it is 100% confirmed that the Zune Phone will be presented at MWC. This comes from a report by Gizmodo which goes on to add that the device is not really a Zune Phone, but is a product that combines Windows Mobile 7 and Zune software in the same manner that the iPhone has iPod software attached. The device will have Nvidia's Tegra onboard. According to MuyComputer, the unit will have a display with resolution of 480 x 272, have HDMI out and weigh 2.45 ounces. And while Microsoft has indeed denied the existence of a Zune Phone, as we've told you, the combination of Windows Mobile 7 and Zune does appear to be something that we will see later this month at MWC.

"the unit will have a display with resolution of 480 x 272?" wait, didn't MS say that the MINIMUM requirement was WVGA (800 x 480) to have WM7? hmm... but this zune phone certainly looks and sounds nice~ :)

Eh, the Zune sucks, WM sucks, and thus I will predict that this will also suffer from maximum suckage lol!

ah... yet, another iPhone fanboy... do you feel superior for your iPhone when you write something negative about anything non-iPhone-device?

Ahhh, another anti-iPhone fanboy. Actually, if you go back and re-read what I actually wrote, you won't find a single mention of the word iPhone, let alone me saying that I own an iPhone. I actually have a BB on VZW. Do us all a favor next time, and get a fucking clue before you post.

You must b new here. Meet YouLostTheGame resident BB owner and VZW customer. Read more articles see more forums and learn the people u mistakenly insult(badly and incorrectly) before u make yourself look like an idiot. You don't have to b an iPhone user or android user or symbian or maemo or palm/webos user or BB user to hate winmo. He'll u don't even have to b a smarphine user to hate it. It's horrible. Sure u can do a lot but if u have to jump thru hoops just to use a poorly designed and ugly OS. Why try. YouLostTheGame I agree with u for once, zune, Winmo, and MS as a whole suck balls.

If you put HTC Sense on top, you solve most of your problem. And if you wait for WM7, you solve the whole problem. WinMo is lacking design/pretty UI, which can be fixed. Other OS's lack important features and freedom to let you do what you want to do.. which is IMO a bigger problem. But hey, everybody has his own opinion. I must be honest with you, if the HD2 did not have HTC Sense and the best hardware you can find on the market right now, I would not have been so crazy about it (and would have waited for the SE X10 probably.. or would have bought the Nexus One). But I am coming from a Blackberry (which was soooo boring for me), so the HTC HD2 is paradise!

I could see them syncing like iTunes and iPhone sort of thing. I think this is the last straw for me though. If this doesn't hit hard enough to leave competition for all the OS's, I'm gonna give up on Microsoft completely. I think since it's Windows Mobile 7, not Windows Mobile 6.8 or something, I can give it once more chance.

10 points to me for sending this in. And btw.. the Zune software (for everything except applications.. which honestly sucks) is the fastest out there.. it has absolutely no lag and that tegra chip absolutely prohibits lag on the zune. Add that to the new winmo7 which apparently should be good (not that everyone's holding their breath)... and you might have a worthy iphone competitor.

I like windows mobile and i hope it comes out with something good. I hope that since there is a requirement for what hardware that can be used that it wont be so laggy.(if thats a word). I expect that windows 7 will be awesome. But it always takes a more powerfull hardware to run windows as compared to the rest. If they start throwing all sites with apps such as handango into a centralized app store it will probably be back in the game. But intill than i am going to keep exploring android, i am starting to like where its going.
