Sony Xperia S, SL, acro S and ion to start receiving Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean in May
Now that Sony is rolling out the Jelly Bean update for the Xperia P, go and E dual, it has officially confirmed that owners of the S, SL, acro S and ion will start receiving their own update from the end of May, which means there's at least a month to go until those notifications start popping up, but it's better to be informed of it rather than to be completely unaware of if and when an update will be coming, right?
If's not clear yet exactly what new features the software update will bring, but judging by what the Xperia P, go and E dual are getting, it's safe to say that the package will include the core Android 4.1 features, enhanced Walkman, Album and Movies apps, Battery Stamina Mode, an updated homescreen and more.
Are there any of our readers who happen to be rocking any of these beautiful smartphones?

why sony why? and where the hell does Xperia E come from? Once again, non-flagship devices are getting better treatment than the flagship ones :@

To be honest, its not like we are going to get KLP the first day it comes out are we? They are just going to announce it at I/O but it'll take a bit then it comes out

Just look at those faggy post by people at xperiablog.
At least they have a date on the updates. It's better to have bug free firmware at a later date than a buggy firmware at an early date.
Yes, I am Anzio Krist Mozie on the xperiablog :)

C'mon people, all you guys do is bitchin around. You complain with you get no updates, you complain when you do get updates...
Sony is not the best at bringing updates but at least most of the time they try to fix that. They brought ICS for almost all their line of 2011, my wife's Xperia Pro was one of those, and at the time I had a Moto Atrix which was left in 2.3 even though it had double the hardware of the Xperia Pro...
Yes, I have an Xperia Acro S now, and I am really happy with it... I wish it had updates earlier, but at least they are bringing it, and to this day it is working great on ICS...
Just enjoy your handsets in its current OS version and make the most of it...

all of you bragging its late update, your just a pinch in millions of user who doents even care about the updates. trust me, my mom who doesnt update her note 2 to 4.2, still shes happy with the phone. with sister with Xperia P with 4.0, still she dont care with update stuff!!!

Seriously, they would have finished updating all their phones last October for 4.1 if they only pushed out 3 or 4 models instead of 20 phones in 2012, some redundant and similar to each other. Maybe they thought the world was going to end last December, so they pushed out whatever garbage they have...

LOL, I can't say I don't agree with you... They mentioned at some point that they were going to focus on midrange and high end devices, but still pushed out a lot of low ends...
Anyway they might be following samsung's strategy here... But I see Sony more of an Apple type of company...
They should stick to 1 low end, 1~2 midrange and 1~2 high end devices... with waterproofed versions...

There is a problem in the 4.1.2 update after the upgrade has become the wireless network connection is not working
If I took out the SIM card or in flight mode wireless connection works
Is there a solution to this problem
