Microsoft's selfie phone photographed again, two versions expected: Lumia 730 and Lumia 735

Microsoft's selfie phone photographed again, two versions expected: Lumia 730 and Lumia 735
Microsoft is getting ready to announce a “selfie phone” at IFA 2014 next week. Initially known as Nokia Superman, the handset reportedly has two versions: Lumia 730, and Lumia 735.

According to new info coming out of China, the Lumia 735 has LTE connectivity, while the 730 doesn’t, instead offering support for two SIM cards. That aside, the devices appear to be identical, as several new photos that allegedly present them next to each other seem to confirm. Both the 735 and 730 should feature 5 MP front-facing cameras, 4.7-inch displays with 720 x 1280 pixels, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory, and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 400 processors. Obviously, Windows Phone 8.1 will be on board of both smartphones. Like most of the older Lumia models, the 735 and 730 will likely have several color versions - we can see a white and a black one in the slideshow below.

Alongside the Lumia 735 / 730, Microsoft might also announce the Lumia 830 at IFA. This should offer more advanced features, including a PureView rear camera. We expect Microsoft to start selling the new Windows Phone handsets shortly after announcing them.

Are you looking forward to seeing Microsoft's newest smartphones?

My next WP! Glad to see MSFT returning to the original classic design of the L800 and the N9.

true, the classical design of L800 was so classic....but i wish they had added the curve back design of L920 (aka Nokia Smile)....it was so much better for handling, but none the less seems good enuf.....i actually have my eyes on L830 as L930 failed to impress me

U mean classical design of N9? N9 is still classic phone.

Hurray for the Fabula design language! That blocky piece of Verizon-junk Icon/929/930 is an abomination compared to the proper Nokia designs.

The Icon/930 looks sexy and beautiful. At least Nokia/MSFT are evolving their phone designs, unlike some companies with fruit logos that use the same design for more than 4 years.

You misspelled Samsung, didn't you?

Samsung actualy changes the desing a bit every year (not for the better), on the other hand the 5S has the same desing as de 4..

To each their own. I, and many others, find that chunky industrial look to be a big step-down from the elegance and higher comfort of the previous Nokia designs. In short, Verizon can't design for sh*t.

I love the look of these phones. Ultimately I want my first Windows phone to be a high end one but these look great

Like that there is more curvature in the design. At least on the sides like some of the older Lumia phones. Not a huge fan of the more boxy design language that has been introduced with the 930/Icon and 630/5.

Just nice to see more new WPs after the slump if the first part of 2014. Can't compete if you don't come to the playing field. Makes sense to give HTC the floor as the high end WP for a few months and get more mod-range Nokia handsets out there.

Am I the only one who thinks that not having capacitive touch buttons and a physical camera button is irritating ????

I do not get why Microsoft or whoever promote these devices don't make the Live Tiles home screen looks even more appealing to the average user. Don't get me wrong nothing is wrong with the home screen now but having other options are also awesome. When http://sharpsnippets.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/wp_ss_20140416_0011.png Live Tiles are so powerful right now i have my home screen filled with just the smallest tiles size with one medium size Tiles in the middle on red background, completely unique looking Its like Microsoft need a lesson in how to create awesomely artistic Windows Phone Start screens.

happy for microsoft, i see happy peoples holding WP phones and they are at affordable price ranges too, people should try the variable products in market than following only one brand . we should not be pieces of a monopoly market.

Yes, some people buy iPhone because their coworkers & classmates are using it! As for me, I bought Windows Phone for a reasonable price, and its OS is getting better every day as well.

Looks like the colors for Verizon or one color for T-Mobile - White! 735 is what I looking for; just hope that the back cover comes off and T-Mobile does not make it exclusive with a different size configuration so that no standard accessories will fit the T-Mobile model. They really did a disservice with the Lumia 521 for the users! No 520 accessories fit the 521 and the 521 only had maybe 3 accessories made for it compare to hundreds for the 520 standard size. Thank you T-Mobile!
