It's official: HTC U11 Plus will be unveiled on November 2

HTC has just confirmed it will hold a launch event in early November. Last week, Chinese media reported HTC had started to send invitations to such an event, but the Taiwanese company did not confirm anything until today.

Fast forward one week and HTC has just tweeted a “Save the Date” image confirming a launch event for November 2. Although the company doesn't say what device will introduce early next month, it's safe to assume we'll be seeing the HTC U11 Plus.

In fact, we've already seen the smartphone, although not through official means. We've also learned quite a bit about the flagship's specs such as the fact that it will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB or 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB internal memory.

From behind, the HTC U11 Plus will look very much the same as the U11, but the phone will feature much thinner bezels. We're also expecting a 6-inch display with Quad HD display, a generous 4,000 mAh battery, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The U11 Plus won't include a dual-camera setup apparently, and the same goes for the 3.5mm audio jack which was replaced with a USB Type-C port.

So, HTC U11 and U11 Plus are basically the same phone with few differences like display, battery, and design. Hopefully, HTC will load Android 8.0 Oreo on the U11 Plus to set it apart from its other flagship.
