India to get last year’s Nexus 10, starting at $480
The brand spanking new Nexus 5 is grabbing all the headlines, but the Nexus 10, introduced last October and released almost exactly one year ago, is still a capable piece of hardware. It has not been available everywhere however, and Google has landed the tablet in India for the price of ₹29,988 ($480) for the 16GB model.
The 32GB model will run ₹32,999 ($530). That is not exactly a bargain, but it is consistent with markups seen on the other pure Android devices offered in some markets outside the United States.
Meanwhile, the Nexus 5 is expected to land in India soon as well, priced at ₹28,999 ($465) and ₹32,999 ($530) for the 16GB and 32Gb models respectively. Again, not the most expensive devices on the market, but not striking any bargains either.

Unfortunately, such pricing belies what is often perceived as relative budget friendliness of Nexus devices. We are not sure how well that will play out in an emerging market like India, but perhaps it is better to have the line-up available in some capacity than not at all.
