Apple releases iOS 8 beta 5
On Monday, Apple started pushing out iOS 8 beta 5 to iOS developers. Among the changes, is a Wi-Fi calling indicator for T-Mobile users. While T-Mobile customers had the ability to use Wi-Fi calling previously, with the indicator, they will now know for sure if they are connected to the service.

Besides the usual bug fixes and general improvements, other changes in iOS 8 beta 5 include changing Home Data to HomeKit in Settings > Privacy, swiping to open Spotlight faster, removal of the brightness controls on the Wallpaper settings panel, a new sound after a voice message is sent on Messages, Spirometry data types added to HealthKit and there is a minor sorting method change in Settings > General > Restrictions.

The next update to developers is expected on August 15th with the release of iOS 8 beta 6. The final version of iOS 8 should be ready for an October launch, possibly at the same time that the new Apple iPhone 6 is released.
