Apple sends invites to March 27 event, new iPads incoming?
On March 27, Apple will be hosting an event in Chicago, as media invitations revealed earlier today. The gathering will take place at the Lane Tech College Prep High School and will be focused on education – "Join us to hear new creative ideas for teachers and students," the invite reads.

"Boo-riing!" you might be thinking to yourself, but don't dismiss the announcement so quickly. On one hand, the event probably won't bring anything groundbreaking (if anything at all) in terms of hardware – big news from Apple are much more likely to come out of its new, space-age campus. But on the other hand, we've been hearing rumors of new iPads being in the works, and an education-oriented event seems fit for their announcement. Could these be new, affordably priced iPads? And could they have Apple Pencil support, judging by the strokes seen in the invitation above?

We'll find out sooner than later, as we're less than two weeks away from Apple's "field trip". On a related note, Apple has another big event coming up soon, namely WWDC, scheduled to kick off on June 4th.

NEW IPAD MINI.... Please... With a lower price $399 seems excessive for the mini when I can grab the full size for less.

Every iPAD should support Pencil by now... I'd get one and the pencil if it supported apple pencil. "Pro" models are too expensive.

"Boo-riing!" ?? Apple events are anything but boring. When Apple just did an update to their low end iPad, there wasn't an event. I'm thinking they are going to update the entire line, including the pro models. A11x based iPad Pro? Count me in.

Probably no notch, maybe faceID but that could pose a challenge because of orientation.

Don’t think so IPad will come with notch since iPad doesn’t support Face ID or Animoji unless Apple add to iPad.

There is no question about it! BUT the real question is: Will any iOS software take advantage of such a powerfull SOC? ... nope it won't. So why even bother. Who the hell cares if the facebook loads 0,1sec faster than on the older model? We need some reason to upgrade. +10% CPU power is not good enough.

That’s true, but that will show how future proof are iOS devices, look how ancient models like the iPhone 5S or 6 can handle the latest games with ultra graphics just like the iPhone X, I believe the same can’t be said about android flagships from the same year those iPhones were released, a powerful chip guarantees an excellent premium user experience, I’d just like developers to take the next step and make the most of this powerful chips that apple is designing

That is really not that surprising, since there are like 5 types on iPhones on the market = easy optimalization (automaticly turn off this effect, this one remains on etc) and if you consider, that those phones only have HD resolution screen. My other tablets nVidia Shield and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 ed 2014 can play pretty much every game worth playing on Android. To be honest I have never tested some "FPS", 3rd person shooters etc. I tested only good games, that makes sense on the platform. It's sad to see Apple chips just being bored.

It would take some serious upgrades to get me to part ways with my 12.9 Pro. iOS 11 has its issues, but I love my iPad Pro. By far Apple’s best iOS device.
