If Nokia is busy making a phone running Android KitKat, what will be the future of NewKia?

please don't. you might suffer the same thing i suffered–getting devastatingly disappointed. let's just let sony move in its own pace. maybe they'd surprise us with something really great.

The Z1 had excellent performance and looks very powerful on paper. It also had awesome build quality (see android authorities Z1 drop test). But then the Z1 came with many disappointments. I actually thought the Z1 will be the perfect smartphone. They need to improve fast! I really like the look of Sony smartphones!

It was an okay Smathphone. but there is 2 very important thing they failed at. Camera and Battery.

For a 20.7 mp with f2.0 and sonys "G" lens, the photos should be good but the only way to really get Good pics if you have something to place the phone on e.x a surface or tripod.. out of 400+ pics i got 5-10 that is REALLY good and the rest is meh..

And battery.. well 3000mah and the phones battery time is worse than my older gs3 :/.
Z1 about 7-9h on normal usage while my older gs3 with a Used battery thats over 1 year old runs 12h+

you Stupid. that becuse the z1 have a full hd screen and Twice many pixels for inch and it have a 5 inch with HDR when the gs3 have 4.8 . now are you understand

First of all the battery is bigger and i know a FHD display draws more power but the exynos chip in the Gs3 tends to consume alot of battery aswell. + the phone was already 1 year + old and still better with a battery running at maybe 70-60% max.

Also if i never use Wifi or 4g with lowest screen brightness i get around 9 hours with 4-5 hours of usage.. that is kinda sh*tty. while LG G2, Note 3 and other phones that run in similar specs has atleast 40% left of battery after that time..

I'd buy the Z1 without thinking too much if the display had better viewing angles..

I don't really care about the viewing angles since i don't look at the phone in 60 degrees :p

Do you think the Xperia Z2 will have edge to edge display and carry a 2K display (unnecessary but the rumours suggest a higher than 1080p display), do you think it will also have a PS4-like interface?

When do you think Newkia will make their first handset?

Hey, where did this ps4 kinda ui come from ? I never heard anything like that.
Although a couple of times i've seen that the xperia z2 will come with a 5.2 inch Full HD display with a ppi of 502 ( which is impossible ) !

Newkia cannot make a smartphone for 2yrs or 4yrs I believe. They will be busy on other services. MS also holds license on patents for years to come.

Me to aswell....but few negatives: to much bezel. The bezels on the sides are to wide. No need for water resistance. Or else it would've been a super sexy slick device, like the original Z.

Well, after using the Acro S for a year I truly appreciate the waterproof feature... Taken many underwater and near water pictures... Used it on the shower a couple of times, and being able to wash my phone from time to time knowing how unhygienic they can get, is great. Waterproof also brings a couple of advantage, of a mostly guaranteed tighter construction, and having the cool dock charging option... Leaving other ports unused..

The size of Z1 C and Acro S are almost identical... The only thing that really bothers me is the on screen buttons taking space most of the time... But I can get used to it...

Yup, I'm all dreaming about the Z2 too. I was so tempted after they announced the Z1S and Z1 Compact, but with the sequel right around next month, who could not wait and see what it should offer!

Will there be a successor to the Nokia Lumia 1020? I am looking for a fantastic camera but with functionality beyond a camera.
