iPhone 4S shows up on Apple website selling Oct. 14th
You didn't expect us to stop the news mill with barely 20 minutes until the official reveal of the new iPhone did you? Apparently, the Japanese Apple Store has already outed the new phone as the iPhone 4S, not the iPhone 5. And, the site also reveals that the new phone will be on sale on October 14th, which means you only have to wait another 10 days to get your hands on the undoubtedly "magical" new phone. Don't worry though, we'll bring you coverage of the event, but we won't be counting the adjectives that Tim Cook uses. We're sure he won't be able to compare with Steve in that category anyway.

Will it have 2g speeds (even in 2011 almost 2012) The new Apple iPhone, to be announced later today, will not support current fourth-generation high-speed wireless networks, according to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal. Those "familiar with Apple's plans" indicated to the Journal that the new iPhone will not support WiMax nor Long Term Evolution 4G, and will instead rely on CDMA and HSPA+ 3G networks for wireless data connectivity. Apple has scheduled a press conference for 1PM Eastern time today to "talk iPhone." More details will be available then.
