The Plantronics Discovery 975 – dainty and high-tech
When we introduced the Plantronics Discovery 925 in our review a month ago, we stated we were pretty impressed by the device, because it´s a perfect blend of elegant overall look and high in-call quality. Now the manufacturer has announced a new beauty, the Discovery 975. The hands-free kit comes with an extremely austere and elegant design and is equipped with all modern features that you can expect to find on a high-end set. It sports a double microphone, noise handling technology (AudioIQ2), can hold a simultaneous connection with two cell phones and there´s the function called WindSmart that provides suppression of wind noise. The device is supported by an in-ear tips and not attached to your ear via a hook. It´s cool that the box you are supposed to tuck the 975 away in when you´re not using it will charge the battery as well. The device should provide up to 5hrs of continuous talk and remain operational for 7 days on a single charge.

The Plantronics Discovery 975 can be yours for $130 and is available on the official website of the manufacturer.

Correction to number: "It´s cool that the box you are supposed to tuck the 925 away in when you´re not using it will charge the battery as well." Change the 925 to 975. Number choice aside, this headset looks pretty cool, very elegant and professional looking.

Just purchased this headset 5 days ago and dammit if I'm not in love I don't know what this is. I owned the plantronics discovery 925 last year and loved it, especially forthe case, but the sound quality, although excellent most of the time, would sometimes drop between horrible and pointless. But most of the time was great. The 975 however has the best quality. I work at a tuck gate amd semis are all around, but the audioIQ2 drowns them out. Not only can I hear the people I'm talking to, but they say they hear me crystal clear. the noise cancellation works just as well if not better than some of those headsets with the windshields, like the jabras. They kind of hear the semi trucks but me a lot more. And the fact that this time around plantronics put an LCD screen for accurate measure of battery life, just tops it all. SurE it's $129.99 and that's not in everyones budget, but this is worth saving for. Did I mention it looks amazing? Men and women have ask came up to me asking if it was a Bluetooth. And loved it. Buy it.
