Google now offers $35 18W USB Type-C Power Adapters designed for Pixel smartphones

Google's web store has started selling 18W USB Type-C power adapters. Designed specifically for the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, these are meant as spare chargers or as an option for charging Type-C devices. The cost for the accessory is $35, and the price includes an USB Type-C cable. It also comes as expected that the charger is designed to operate with maximum safety.

Rated at 18W, these ought to charge devices a little bit faster than the 15W chargers that came bundled with the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. It's also worth noting that the charger itself features a single Type-C port and comes bundled with a Type-C cable, which means you'll have to get a Type-C to microUSB cable if you wish to charge devices with a microUSB port.

Sold in Gray, the 18W Type-C charger will begin shipping October 20, together with the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.

You're an iphone fan right? You should tell that to apple, knowing that this is cheaper than any third party apple chargers out in the market.

The phone still comes with a charger, so no they're not "looting". You need to think before posting because there seems to be a disconnect between the words meaning and your use of them

Do not get mad with this adaptor's price. Google does not get profit by display AdSense on this adaptor, so they want you to play extra money for this Pro version of this charging brick WITHOUT ADS.

I hope it's better than the one that came with my Nexus 6P, that one stopped working after 2 months of use. So disappointing.

Really? Mine's still going strong. Did you see if they would warranty it?

No, I never checked, I just got another charger. No issues with the 3rd party cables.

Oh I never said there was, I picked up a Choetech home charger and a Visnic car charger for travel and car, and both work fine. I was just saying that since it was under warranty, and may still be, you could've gotten it replaced for nothing.
