Artist imagines the iPhone 6 and its retail packaging, strikes gold
Martin Hajek, the artist behind a number of very detailed, high-quality renders of mostly Apple products, has released a new set of concept photos, in which he imagines the iPhone 6's retail packaging, and the phone in dazzling gold.

As can be expected, Hajek's work is, once again, very pleasing to the eye. While the resulting (3D) renders obviously have the artist's own touch, the overall feel is very much that of Apple, specifically if you consider the extremely minimal retail packaging. The golden iPhone 6 is more "out there", of course -- mostly because we haven't seen Apple really go down that road just yet -- but it's still impossible to tag these as anything less than very attractive.

The iPhone 6 (at least the 4.7-inch version) is expected to be unveiled at an Apple event readied for September 9th. For all that we know about the two expected versions of the next iPhone, take a look at our thorough rumor round-up.

Artist renderings, concept images, and other such fantastical drivel is the worst kind of reporting there is. 100% hypothetical, 0% reality. Quit this kind of garbage reporting, please.

Well in this case it is garbage too because all that is is pretty much a thinner iPhone 5c case.

I think it's not such a bad idea to keep the design language if it's had good reception. Plus i like that stand part which on pictures 4. and 5. looks like just some kind of a handle to make it easier to open the glossy plastic cover, and on pictures 6. and 7. it proves to be a nifty exposition idea to make it stand vertically, and with a thinner form factor it looks much better and more naural than the 5c box did being presented like that. The back of the box on picture 10. even seems to be a kinda tip of fedora to the iPhone 3g.

I like the concept. Fits right into the pocket without needing an apple store bag unless you order online. I know all of these rendorings will make it to Johnnys desk; if we see it. I know he has. Good work. As far as people complaining about what type of info is posted. Try to look at something with a positive light and take what is good from what ever you see. There is always good in every article I read. and some times there are dry days. So thats why I frequent multiple different sites. STOP BIT#$%@@ people and grow up.

The black and gold iPhone rendering is beyond ugly.
