Sprint Windows Phone with Qualcomm LTE chipset is entering testing phases, tip insiders
Sprint is still in the hanging as far as its LTE network is concerned, but the inevitability of hooking up a Windows Phone to it seems to grow by the day.

Carrier insiders have tipped once again that a WP LTE handset, sporting the ubiquitous Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset, will be entering its testing phase with Sprint. That means that it should be ready for a fall announcement, and by that time both Windows Phone 8 Apollo and Win 8 itself should have been made official.

Thus we can expect a summer of juicy Windows Phone leaks, and one of the participants in them will be Sprint this time. No OEM has been confirmed for the LTE-laden Sprint Windows Phone handset, but Nokia has been in the rumor mix, allegedly been given details about Sprint's upcoming LTE network by the carrier itself.

Sprint's chiefs said at CES 2012 that they are not planning for new Windows Phone devices in the lineup until the August-September timeframe, so there you go.

this is good for Sprint and Windows smart phones I think all Cell phone carriers should at least have 2 Windows smart phones to offer it's customers but 1 is at least a start
and is better than nothing

Hey man, Verizon still only has one Windows Phone: the HTC Trophy. They released in May of 2011 on Verizon, and the phone itself was released on other carriers in late 2010. So Verizon only has one option, and the hardware is one and a half years old.

Windows is a very capable platform today. Unlike years before Windows phone will start to lead in many peoples must have category. Windows offer multitasking, social network integration, Office, Xbox Live, and possible Kinnect all in a fluid software offering that will link up to you home or office computer seamlessly. I truly think that the windows phone can replace Rimm, or any other platform in the business arena with office word and excel integrated as it is. Windows will rise again to be what it has never been in the smart phone category. Apple will face a fierce rival with windows I think!

When Windows 8 arrives in October 2012 that's when things will really start happening big time for tablets and smartphones.

Time will tell. Sprint better get it right and offer more than one LTE Windows Phone 8!
