Specs for BlackBerry 9700 are leaked?
It almost seems like every day there is another new BlackBerry and today is not different. A tipster over at BGR has spilled the beans on the BlackBerry 9700. There is no special code name attached to the handset yet, but we do have a list of some of the specs. The 9700 will be a quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE handset with UMTS/HSDPA. It will sport a physical QWERTY keyboard, a display with resolution of 480 x 360, Wi-Fi a,b,g, a 5MP camera with AF, and all of it powered by BlackBerry OS 5.0. As soon as we can get more info on this mysterious device, we will pass it right along to you.

Sounds like the same old "new" blackberry to me... poor resolution screen, with an upgrade to a now dated OS... RIM and WM need to step up their game. Palm and Apple are winning the OS game now.

That screen resolution seems fine to me, perfect for reading emails, are blackberries still used for that?

The screen resolution is actually higher than the iphone and the pre, but I agree with your point regarding the OS. Dont leave Android out...

True, Android is getting better, and getting better all the time, but faster than all of the other OS's by far. HTC innovation pushes the boundaries and soon samsung will start pushing the Android envelope as well.
