Sam's Club and Target to launch some heavily anticipated Verizon phones
BGR has just obtained some internal Verizon information that shows which handsets are heading for launch at Sam's Club and Target for the holiday season. The list of devices for Sam's includes the Android powered Motorola Sholes aka Droid which look spiffy in the thumbnail photo which seems to indicate that the phone will come with a front facing camera. Target shoppers-bad news. It looks like the Droid is left off the list of Verizon devices coming to you. Both stores appear to be receiving the BlackBerry Storm 2 and the Curve 2 as they are listed under "Future Launches". The bottom line is that with Sam's and Target planning on having these models in stock by the holiday, Verizon itself should have these phones launched before the holiday shopping days heat up. It is interesting to note that Sam's target customer is the "Value seeking consumer" while Target aims for "Mom, CEO of the family". Is the Droid too masculine for Mom to pick out?

Same layout, different stores...well yeah, these are internal Verizon documents, from the national retailer department. I.e. it would make sense that they would have the same layout since they are both VERIZON documents, not documents for Sams and Target respectively.
