Only one thing … better picture organization. Android automatically sorts pictures by downloads, screenshots, camera, etc. I love both my S23ultra and my iP14pro but I hate trying to find a specific picture in my iPhone and having to scroll through everything! Sure, I can manually organize pictures but it makes so much more sense for my SMARTphone to do something intelligent like putting everything in an appropriate album.

  1. Split screen
  2. Android gestures
  3. Universal back button
  4. Ability to turn on software buttons

Partner won't switch without #4. I really wouldn't want to lose #1 or #3. I think it's already weird there isn't split screen support since iPad supports it.

Ah, better phone app. Androids seems a lot better for searching/dialing based on names and not just Numbers.

Custom ROMs, but without Apple's consent. I think it would be really funny.

  1. Customization Options: One of the standout features of Android is the level of customization it offers. Users can change their launchers, icons, and even the overall look and feel of their devices. If Apple were to allow more customization options for the home screen and app icons, it would give users a sense of ownership over their devices.
  2. Split-Screen Multitasking: Android's split-screen feature is incredibly useful for multitasking. It allows users to run two apps side by side, which can enhance productivity. Implementing a similar feature in iOS would be a significant improvement, especially for users who frequently switch between apps.
  3. Notification Management: Android's notification system is often praised for its flexibility. Users can manage notifications more granularly, including the ability to snooze them or prioritize certain apps. Enhancing iOS's notification management to include more options would be beneficial.

In conclusion, both operating systems have unique features that could enhance each other. By adopting some of Android's customization and multitasking capabilities, Apple could improve the iOS experience, while Android could benefit from iOS's ecosystem integration and privacy focus. It's all about finding the right balance to meet user needs!

are you also planning a discussion about which iOS features would improve Android?

that would be interesting.

The only two features really needed are split screen and apps that work in background.
