I dunno AR / VR / it’s a fun futuristic gimmick.

but until it really adds something in day to day life it’s a hard pass.

I remember the iPhone pros also came with the advertisement of seeing actual player data during a game.

I want that for football or all the sports on a global scale.

Now all you can see is the star placements when you point at the sky and it will suck 70% battery out of your soul.

Late to the game and extremely overpriced for the common user of VR/AR. I still belive Apple only made it to test it on the market so the technology can be sold to a alternate industry.

This site makes its money on ads. The more people interact with an article, the more they get paid for those ads. This is just an interaction tactic to get more clicks/views/comments.

As a matter of fact, we don't make more money based on interactions and/or comments, and what's even more, these discussions aren't meant to do that. They're for our core readers and serve one sole purpose: to entertain and engage the community.

Furthermore, we are interested in such discussions because they give us context, additional angles when we cover news and write editorials, and a better understanding of the current climate in mobile tech. Just an honest clarification.

We all know, until tech has advanced to the point of it being housed in a spectacles form,it's going to be hard to walk around unconcerned with one,in it's current.

Was it really long awaited? I'm pretty sure outside of tech journalists the reaction is mostly whatever.

Umm, Google Glass users didn't get a pass in public because of the camera, and they were called Glass holes. The city of San Francisco went as far to ban Google Glass users from wearing them at certain locations, like some bars, restaurants, theatres, government facilities, hospitals, medical facilities, courts, and a number of other locations. So I guess the same ban has to occur for Apple's Vision Pro headset, especially since that headset takes 3D pictures, and it records 3D videos as well. The demo showed someone on a plane watching a movie, but what's to stop that user in a plane from recording videos of people on a plane? Nothing! Also I don't see Apple's Vision Pro headset becoming a competing VR gaming platform, especially since this headset doesn't come with any hand controllers.
