Welcome Back! Microsoft Band returns to brick and mortar Microsoft Stores
A tweet sent out Saturday by @MicrosoftStore reveals that the Microsoft Band is now back in stock at brick and mortar Microsoft Stores. On Thursday, we showed you a leaked memo that revealed how customers of the Microsoft Store were going to receive an email alerting them to the return of the $199.99 device, which had sold out shortly after being launched in November.

Supporting Windows Phone 8.1, Android (version 4.3 or newer), and iOS (7.1 and 8), the Microsoft Band combines the capabilities of a smartwatch with those of a fitness tracker. Besides measuring the usual fitness metrics like heart rate, steps taken and calories burned, the device also keeps track of the quality of the sleep you're getting and your skin temperature. And if you pair your Band with a Windows Phone 8.1 handset, the wearable will integrate with personal assistant Cortana. The Microsoft Band will also alert you to notifications, emails, texts and messages from social networking sites.

This new inventory is earmarked for the physical Microsoft Stores only. The online Microsoft Store is still bone dry for now. If you've been dying for a Microsoft Band, you should call your nearby store before you head over there, just to make sure that they haven't been sold out once again.
