Touch Pro2 to be available from Verizon on September 11th for $199.99?
We have seen pictures of the handset and we knew it was coming. A tipster has told BGR that Verizon will be offering its version of the Touch Pro2 on September 11th for $199.99 with a two-year pact, and a mail-in rebate. If the pricing is correct, Big Red's model of the highly anticipated Windows Mobile handset would be about $150 less than the after rebate pricing for Sprint and T-Mobile. After the 11th, AT&T will be the last of the four major U.S. carriers left to launch a version of the device.

Verizon customers, it will be a long week with each tick of the clock feeling like minutes and the minutes feeling like hours. But next week at this time, you could be playing around with your new Touch Pro2 and still have money left in your wallet unlike your pals on T-Mobile and Sprint.

this price sounds fishy... they're gonna sell this for less than the Snap?

3. Juni7069 posted on 04 Sep 2009, 13:57

Verizon's version of the snap (htc ozone) is $49.99

I think I may die from this news.

I THINK VERIZON IS TRYING TO GET COSTOMERS TO GET THERE VERSION OF THE TOUCH PRO 2 INSTEAD OF SPRINT AND T-MOBILE BY LOWERING THERE PRICE AND JUST DAYS AFTER IT COMES OUT FOR SPRINT TOO YA THERE COMPETING WITH SPRINT..

@vlondril, that is what i did after reading your comment. Thank you! But... my heart went to Xperia X2 guys and i have verizon. what should i do?!!?

What plan will be required on this phone? Cause im stuck on who would be cheaper with plan SPRINT or VERIZON!! but id rather save money on the phone since VERIZON is cheaper. Plus I been thinking about switching over anyway

8. nateoslo21 posted on 04 Sep 2009, 14:41

Right now VZW has their cheapest data plan for smartphone pegged @ $29.99 a month

10. MrRihannaFenty posted on 04 Sep 2009, 14:58

so you add the 29.99 to the regular plan with the minutes and stuff? its confusing me b/c when I look at sprint, it gives you full detail of pricing and everything with it. I want a great plan and the phone (cheap) with good customer service and coverage. idk im lost

hmmm.......

so the mail in rebate is off of the $199.99, lowering that number? i feel like it may be that the $199.99 is an after rebate price, would make more sense to me. But if that's true, i will be using my new every 2 and almost getting this phone for free, which is why it seems fishy to me, but hey, now i just wait a week!

12. traccer055 posted on 04 Sep 2009, 15:49

wow if this is true i may have to leave sprint its like having 2 free months of cell phone @ the price difference.

this is great hopefully on the 10th android will talk more about the sholes and i can compare between the the two.

First off... that price is with a MAIL-IN rebate ... that means that you're probably gonna pay 299.99 in the store. 199.99 is a bullshit price, yeah you'll get a 100.00 verizon card like 6 weeks later, but unless you have 300 bucks on hand, don't expect to walk in there and buy this thing. It's still a good price, but 300.00 is pretty steep for a phone.

You ever heard of verizonwireless.com and getting the mir up front? Very easy, and much cheaper.

18. vulgar posted on 04 Sep 2009, 18:13

and I got mine in like 2 weeks once. As long as you mail it in right away. But yeah, HTC phones have always been on the more expensive side.

I would be EXTREMELY surprised if this ended up being the price on this phone. Usually with these types of devices you can find them at the same price with every carrier. If it is the right price it makes me really happy cuz then sprint will have to drop the price tag on theirs :) Domino if you think $300 is steep for a phone you are looking in the wrong place. It is around par for a pda of this caliber after rebate
