Nokia's Q1 results revealed
Nokia’s Q1 results are finally out and the picture is not too bright. Although Nokia’s estimated mobile device market share has remained the same as in Q4 2008, the total mobile device volumes are 93.2 million units, down 18% in comparison with Q4. This, combined with the significant revenue and production decrease in most non-phone related business activities of the company, has led to a decrease of the reported operating profit of over 96% (wow) in comparison with Q1 2008.

However, it’s not all bad – the success of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, makes the company optimistic for the future. They expect no further declines in the volumes of the mobile devices and even predict an increase in their overall market share.
