Listen @Darkjedii:- I don't give a single f**k what you have been writing here at PA.
For me you are just a premature guy with a device which has got Internet on it and knows nothing about technology.
Well I don't want to waste my time in arguing with you.
However if you love A 4 Apple this much then shove all idevices up in your candy a$$ and sit back and relax. Last but not the least if you want to comment here at PA you should be mature enough to do so. Grow up kid
48. darkkjedii (Posts: 11106; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
Well one of the devices u speak of is my Htc one x lol. Man look how u respond when u get challenged. U don't give a f**k, shove it up my candy a**. That shows your level of class, and intelligence. U bash apple and insult its users, and when some one gets at u u resort to gutter name calling and more insults. And for the record I own an iPhone 5, Htc one x, iPad, and a galaxy tab 10.1 for my fiancé, and just bought her the iPad mini which she loves. I'm very mature, and intelligent. U my boy have shown u r not. Gutter name calling and insults grow up kid.

Now watch Apple mysteriusly be sold out across the board and wont be able to replenish for another 2 months just like the iPhone 5!
2. husfus (Posts: 62; Member since: 21 Oct 2012)
The headline should be- apple sold record 3 million apple logo this weekend
25. PhenomFaz (Posts: 1067; Member since: 26 Sep 2012)
I mean what a load of hogwash apple releases...all lies!
If this were the case then why is Apple's tablet share down from 85% to just 50%? They just release bogus statements and since they're very strict on privacy we all have to take theiir word for it.
Too bad apple people have learnt to see through the facade so go get another chunk eaten off from your logo or something.
Nobody in their right mind would buy the ipad mini...an under-speced tablet...even apple loyalists will go for the larger ipad at that stupid price point!
27. darkkjedii (Posts: 11106; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
So there's absolutely no way they sold, or could possibly sell 3 million iPads? No matter what apples lying and u have the proof rite? Now what if they actually did sell that amount, cuz the true amount will come out?!
34. PhenomFaz (Posts: 1067; Member since: 26 Sep 2012)
okk see I have nothing against how much they sold BUT :)
Consider this today the IDC releases a statement that Apple's market share has come down from a world leading-85% to just 50% which is still world-leading and still number one but to counter this a few hours later apple releases a statement that they sold 3 million units in three days :)
Next the iphone 5 sold FIVE million units in FIVE days!
Next the iphone 5 got pre-ordered for TWO million units in TWO days :)
Next the iPhone 4s sold a record ONE million in ONE day :)
the iphone 4s was preordered for ONE million units in ONE days :)
The ipad sold THREE million units in THREE days :)
I hope by now you're seeing my point...these factual statements from Apple seem a little too convenient...the number of units sold in millions in a day is exactly proportional to the number of the day!
I dont have a problem with Apple selling a million units of its product in a day but why is it only a million? why cant they sell 5 million in three days or two million in three days...why does the million number have to be the exact same as the day number...2 million in 2 days, 4 milion in 4 days, and so on.
Therefore my friend I make the case and if I take into account Apple's statements to be true then they must have sold a hundred million devices already this year which they or any other company have not! Sammy sold 30 million GS3 but that happened in alost six months which is believable...I used Sammy not to get back at Apple fans its just because their article was posted today on PA as well.
Therefore my buddy jedi I have for your pleasure presented my case with detail yet again :)
44. darkkjedii (Posts: 11106; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
Yes u have presented n detail, yet kept it hypothetical bro. Last year apple said it sold 37000000 iPhone 4S's n the holiday quarter and the WSJ backed them up. They could b lying, or they could b telling the truth. Apple n general doesn't lie, that's part of their arrogance. Even when they get caught they're to high on the hill to lie. They're usually credible bro.
53. PhenomFaz (Posts: 1067; Member since: 26 Sep 2012)
see thats not my point...
ok they sold 37000000 iPhone 4s last holiday quarter...i believe it to be true because i remember the iphone 4s was selling like hot cakes unlike the iphone 5 and is a better phone. But it doesn't matter if i believe it...and yes they sold that much in one quarter which is believable because its one quarter thats 90 days with an average of 400000 a day...thats pretty beelievable.
BUT why whenever Apple feels threatened by a report like IDC's or whenever another company comes up with their sales figures Apple has to barge in releasing their owwn fugures which are always a million units a day?
Why cant it be that Apple sold 2 million in a day...or half a million...or some other number...from the past few years they've stuck to the magical number of a million a day...thats why it seems a little too convenient of a figure
I am just talking of course about the sales figures which happen when a product launches not in one quarter or a year
38. KParks23 (Posts: 448; Member since: 13 Oct 2010)
No it should read... apple tries to save plummeting stock prices from dropping even more by releasing this statement!
3. No_Nonsense (Posts: 826; Member since: 17 Aug 2012)
However great Apple's marketing is, I find something amiss. How can device 'x' always continue to out sell previous generations of the same device by almost 2 times and every single time ?
8. XPERIA-KNIGHT (Posts: 2435; Member since: 08 Aug 2012)
thats the same thing im wondering, you would think the same people that just bought an ipad mini already have an ipad 2 and 3!
18. JeffdaBeat (unregistered)
Well think about it. Despite what folks here think, the general public sees the iPad mini as a way to get their hands on an iPad at a cheaper price. If they were saving their pennies for 4th generation iPad, all of a sudden, they don't have to save as much. So they run out for it instead. Sure, you do have folks who are buying the iPad mini even though they have an iPad, but with holidays coming up, it's not surprising at all. Hell, for some reach people out there, this is a stocking stuffer. Also remember a lot of companies will use leftover funds to buy gifts for employees.
But I think general, people want the newest thing out there. And with Apple, because there is only one or two lines of a product, it's easy to walk in and say, "I want the newest..."
29. XPERIA-KNIGHT (Posts: 2435; Member since: 08 Aug 2012)
?? did you watch the parody of the ipad mini? I think that about sums up what apple is doing with their products bro
16. theoak (Posts: 320; Member since: 16 Nov 2011)
Dad gets iPad ... loves iPad ... new iPad comes out ... buys iPad for family members.
I purchased my new iPad about 6 months back. The wife now uses it just as much as I do. If I wanted, I could easily purchase another one for my wife.
33. AnTuTu (limited) (Posts: 804; Member since: 14 Oct 2012)
@theoak:- Stay happy in your Apple world mate. Don't come out or you will get scare. Don't think you are buying these products its actually Apple who is pushing you to buy these and limiting your choices.
52. TROLL (banned) (Posts: 4851; Member since: 13 Apr 2012)
Antutu well said+1 TheOak has been meditated towards Apple. How really so sad bad.
32. AnTuTu (limited) (Posts: 804; Member since: 14 Oct 2012)
Because people who buy products from Apple, they are actually brainwashed and don't know anything about technology mate.
It was Steve Jobs who taught Apple to give wrong numbers to audience to attract more audience and people are still believing them.
If they have sold these many units then whats the reason their shares are falling day by day drastically?
39. elandrumiii (Posts: 109; Member since: 20 Mar 2010)
Are you for real just myabe just brainwashed your self because you just cant stand that they are successful with such a limited line and high prices. It sellls live with it you dont like stop reading the articles. You appear on almost every Apple article to bash and look for some on who likes apple to post something so you can talk down to them as some brainwashed zombie and you and the othe apple haters degrade a dead man by talking abpout him as iff he is the anti christ. I dont even really care for apple mobile devices but wow its not that serious.
45. darkkjedii (Posts: 11106; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
Drastically? Then apple should b having a going outta business sale any day now. We're slashing prices thru out the store to rock bottom. Everything must go get dowwwwwnn. Heeeereeee lmao. Get real dude. Stocks rise n fall just a few weeks ago google lost 24000000 then recovered. Google it.http://news.albanianscreen.tv/

New York - Google's shares have been suspended for two and a half hours after the publication of the third term exchange data. Google has suffered the greatest plunge in its history loosing 24 million Dollars in eight minutes.
The report was uncovered before the deadline, while a printing firm was working for Google and released a press statement without the authorization of the online giant. See stocks rise n fall

Who buys all those pads? My guess is that Apple buys them only to resell them at a higher price on Global Black Markets.

Well your guess is about as uneducated as a dead fly.
5. MorePhonesThanNeeded (Posts: 618; Member since: 23 Oct 2011)
"Just today IDC posted its tablet market share, where Apple's tablet slipped to 50.4%, but, judging from these record sales over the weekend, this has been due to people waiting it out for the new gear." Weird statement, considering that if the market share slipped to 50.4% and they still sold 3 million devices (all iPads combined)...then go on to say this "Moreover, it doesn't seem like it is cannibalizing many iPad 4 sales, which analysts were concerned about at launch." . Wait what? So if market share slipped and they still sold such a large amount, is that not cannibalizing sales of your own product? I am perplexed as to what on earth that could signify if not what analysts predicted would happen, common sense would say that if you lost market share whilst having two new products and sold out of the newer products installed base then it's taking profit from your other product unless this is some strange world we live in that this is impossible.
Guess it's only applicable when Apple is concerned, can you guy really not write such crazy stories that lack even common sense. People holding out for new product doesn't even make sense as how the hell would you even count them considering you can only count sales and not magically thought up numbers of those who are waiting for some product to come out.
12. taz89 (Posts: 2014; Member since: 03 May 2011)
to them its always been if apple sells less it means people are waiting for new apple products
if others sell well its because apple has no new device...these people always making excuses for apples performance.
40. elandrumiii (Posts: 109; Member since: 20 Mar 2010)
And when apple product sells its because the (as apple hateer say) the apple zombies have come out because the dont know technology and they dont know about customization and they are brainwashed. that sounds like an excuse for android. Android is winning you have the handsets and the tablets are gaining and google hase a chrome book now. Hey if they make a desktop it appear that they are getting more like Apple would it not? If will stick with my gnex until a better iPhone drops
7. Sniggly (Posts: 6964; Member since: 05 Dec 2009)
Silly article. You're combining two different products for this number. Granted, you admit that the individual product numbers are nothing special, but you still push this concept that the iPad mini is outselling expectations.
19. JeffdaBeat (unregistered)
Apple does this all the time. Hell, they did the same combination during the keynote for the iPad mini in respects to the iPod lineup. We shouldn't be surprised at this point.

Fandroids will be in hate overdrive about this one lmao.
13. MorePhonesThanNeeded (Posts: 618; Member since: 23 Oct 2011)
You're too blind to notice that this article is just bad. Why say something that isn't even clear? 3 million iPads sold, but it's mini and new iPad sales combined, so how can you say which outsold which? Only thing that is clear is that iPad lost market share, which speaks volumes as they are eating into their own sales.
iDiots really like to defend bad articles even when they aren't even reporting substantial or realistic and objective views. Fails as a story and you who probably didn't even read the article can only off stupid fanboy fueled retort that like the article, FAILS!

why don't you go to your room and play with your iPad 1,2,3,4, mini and iPhones we have?

That is what is going on in America - instead of saving money for future calamities or for school or for maybe a car - people are buying stuff that they cannot really afford, living pay check to pay check.
22. snowgator (Posts: 3209; Member since: 19 Jan 2011)
Not sure who predicted the "demise" of the iPad, anymore than anyone says the iPhone will die out.
What a ton of posters (and honest tech writers) are wondering is if Apple has peaked. As tablet sales increase, and it is still a huge market that has hardly hit anything close to a peak, how many just buy Apple, or how many jump on Android Tabs or Windows Pro/RT? As feature Phone users move on, still like 50% of mobile phone users but dropping every year, how many grab iPhones, or do they move on to other smartphone OS's- all the ANdroid options with different feels, the improved Windows Phones, the new BlackBerry 10, or maybe one of the new OS's explodes?
Sure Apple has loyal followers, but every analyist I have seen shows Apple users are older. Apple is not really changing anything- they add a few functions every year. I see Apple now a much more profitable BlackBerry from early this century- the top dog in smart phone sales, small improvements, controlling both hardware and software development, depending on a loyal base to never walk away from their products.
Sure, the iPad and iPad mini are hits at launch. Where are they in sales in a year as other tabs hit hard with new features and inovation?
23. networkdood (Posts: 6267; Member since: 31 Mar 2010)
I have even posted that Apple will do fine, because as long as it is an 'i' product with the apple logo on it - people will buy it, especially in America.
28. DOGIEFRESH (Posts: 302; Member since: 15 Jul 2009)
On a launch weekend is pretty impresive all Android tablet makers of all sizes combined wont even sell a million in a whole month...!!!!
31. gallitoking (Posts: 4684; Member since: 17 May 2011)
Samsung announces it sold 10 million SGSII and fandroids cheer and dance not to mention brag about it.. Apple announces their sales for the ipad and again fandroids dispute sales figure and want the SSN for the people that actually bought an Apple product otherwise is not a believable.. you guys need to get a life..
35. MorePhonesThanNeeded (Posts: 618; Member since: 23 Oct 2011)
Stow it crooked commenter, pretty sure Samsung sales you're referring to were worldwide sales of the SGS3, not weekend sales of two products with the same name. Again the faithful fail not in the never ending attempts to make their copious Apple seem infallible.
Unless you have some stock in Apple, all this fawning over their products makes you out to be some sort of loon with nary any semblance of a "life of my own".
You don't even read, nor comprehend. The comments that are logical are all pointing out how they just say iPad sales reached 3 million, but fact is two iPads were up for sale. Sale breakdown would have been nice, but seeing as there isn't one, which would only seem as a wait until one of these numbers is closer to the other because we don't want it to look like we're eating into own own sales. Which they are most definitely doing, lost market share but manages such high sales, one can only say they are splitting their own sales whilst losing ground to other tablets out there.
How is that for objective thinking, oh wait you weren't told that you can think objectively by Apple Inc, poor guy. It's ok one day reason might come back to your neck of the woods, unless you are too far in there and reason is completely lost to you.
41. elandrumiii (Posts: 109; Member since: 20 Mar 2010)
Preetyu sure about sammy's sales but wasnt facts on apple. the numbers on apple's weekend sales are not new wether it be pre-order or actual numbers. why now is it a problem. if you hate apple and cant stand anything they do stop readig and commenting or is it you need this to validate your hatred and who is really a izombie
37. gallitoking (Posts: 4684; Member since: 17 May 2011)
wow.. why you want to know how many ipads were sold? let's be honest whether how may ipads Apple sells would not change your view on Apple. just read the article and move on.. unless you have a good reason on why sales figures matter to you so much that you will go out of your way to know.. btw your opinion about me are way off sorry to disappoint..
