Watch Apple's iPhone X and iPhone 8 event in just 15 minutes

Apple held a massive, 2-hour keynote today. In what was the first-ever event to take place at the new Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Part (aka the spaceship campus), CEO Tim Cook and company introduced a range of new, forward-looking devices, including the industry-disruptive iPhone X, the new-generation iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, and Apple Watch Series 3 – now with cellular connectivity.

While we absolutely recommend taking the time to watch the whole thing, we understand some may be unable to spend two hours on this. That's why we've prepared this special, 15-minute cut of the event, in which we've tried to showcase just the biggest highlights, without losing too much of the overall feel of the show. Let us know which Apple announcement you liked most in the comments!

A11 rocks and animoji seems fun (but for how long?). Face ID is not that impressive IMO. AR I'll wait on some reviews before judging that. And that edge to edge display is not impressive at all. Not for me. I simply prefer s8, note 8 and V30 way of execution. That black border and that cut on top looks very uninspiring for me. To be honest the design of display looks like a small size "tempered glass" stuck on a big one. And both iPhone 8 looks like a 7s and 7s plus and they are using X to divert the attention and it surely capable of doing that it seems.

I'm just let down by this keynote. I expected, and hoped for so much more in the iPhone X, and I can basically get an 8 on Craigslist and by a wireless charging case. What happened Apple, the 10th anniversary should've just killed it. All that power, and nothing to tap into it. Animojis, and some cool cameras are great, but damn Apple, I was hoping for a Note 8 competitor, to tempt my into buying. Sighhhhhh... I'll close with this. www.zdnet.com/google-amp/article/iphone-x-no-thanks-samsungs-note-8-is-all-i-ever-wanted-in-a-smartphone-and-more/

-Camera on the X looks like it will be a pretty good fight between Note 8/Pixel 2/V30 camera, on paper specs; 83% more light absorbed compared to the sensor in 7, and the 12 MP telephoto lens is f2.4 aperature with OIS, same as Note 8 telephoto lens, it'll be interesting -A11 sounds really impressive, first Apple designed GPU in their SoC's now, which is dope -25% louder stereo speakers and deeper bass is nice too. Really nothing else to say though, competition is hot and heavy nowadays

A10 GPU performance at half power is an insane improvement!

It sure is man. That's pretty impressive stuff. Some people are speculatiing that it may be a derivative of PowerVR Furian GPU

Agreed, I reckon its something really similar to the PowerVR Furian GPUs Apple has hired heaps of engineers from Imagination Technologies

In my opinion, the best announcement from this event was not the new phones or the watch but it was Apple TV 4K. Apple killed it by allowing their users to upgrade to 4K movies for free if they already purchased the HD variant. That's pretty cool. Other than that.........underwhelming for me.

That Sky game looked legit! The entire Apple TV segment was pretty great. The Watch segment was meh, but I'm not into smartwatches anyhow. Looking forward to seeing that A11 and quick charging in action on the iPhone front, guess that is all I care about tbh.

Apple always rock with processor. A11 is one hell of a beast.

I didn't watch, they're letting you stream the 4K versions if you own the HD? Is that what you're saying? That is a good move.

They are updating your 1080p movies and stuff to 4K and I think in HDR format too if the movie supports it, for free, which is pretty nice, supports full suite of HDR; HDR10, Dolby Vision, etc

$1000 for face unlock? No thanks. I actually prefer the regular 8 plus.
