Warhammer 40,000: Carnage lands on Google Play, ork annihilation ensues

Roughly a month after it arrived on iTunes, the action-packed Warhammer 40,000: Carnage made the transition and landed on Google Play. This shoot 'em up side-scroller is set in the 41st millenium in the dystopian Warhammer universe, in which humans have succeeded in populating a plethora of planetary systems. However, they've made a lot of enemies in the process (they are conquerors, after all) and the human empire is currently in war with various alien races, the most numerous of which are the orks. Mind you, these are not regular fantasy orks like the ones in the Lord of the Rings – the orkkind in Warhammer is physically augmented, pretty brutal, and wields monstrous sci-fi weaponry.

Warhammer 40,000: Carnage puts you in the shoes of a human space marine, whose mission is to repel vast waves of orks and retake the world of Mithra. It seems that diplomacy has already failed, so you'll need to load your gun and show these orks who's boss. That's the gist of the game – its gameplay is as gory and action-packed as the one in old-school side-scrolling games of the same genre. So, don't be surprised if each level requires you to literally get rid of thousands of orks. Apart from obliterating vast waves of countless foes, you'll also have to take care of some seriously big bosses.

Apart from the action-centric carnage that leaves pools of ork blood behind your protagonist, Warhammer 40,000: Carnage also comes with a great amount of various items, with which your character can be customized to suit your liking – more than 500 weapons and armor sets are available for you to choose among. Poor orks.
