The best features of the Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note5 (infographic)
With the Note5 and the Galaxy S6 edge+, Samsung ended its long and winding road that took it from mostly plastic and uninspiring designs for its otherwise decked-out Androids, to phones with one of the most compact and premium chassis out there.

Case in point - both the Note5 and S6 edge+ have the best screen-to-body ratios for their 5.7" screen size, and are thin marvels made of metal and glass. One has the unique side-sloping display, the other comes with an autoeject stylus, setting them apart from anything the competition can currently offer.

To celebrate these achievements, Samsung has outed an infographic detailing the the best features of its newest and sveltest phablets, from the flexible AMOLED display and the extra interface options it brings, through the stellar cameras, to the new and funky S Pen stylus, check them out below.

2015 has been great for SAMSUNG and Note 5 is (if not THE BEST) one of the best smartphones out there. However, only thing that stops me from buying it is the GPU. It's not bad by any strech, rather it's quite capable but it's just not iPhone 6s(plus) level. Framerates still drop in games like GTA.

If you have no problem with antenna band or protruding camera then just buy an iPhone 6s plus. Best phone of the year that's for sure. And if you are a heavy mobile gamer then you have no choice but to buy an iPhone 6s plus. It will give more consistent performance than any other android phone. Plus it also has awesome battery life. 1.5 times better battery life than Note 5 so you can play more without have to worry about battery life.

There are a lot more reasons not to buy an iPhone 6s plus than those you mentioned. One its design is not great, smaller screen yet bigger and heavier and the big bezels do not do much for look either. Two the screen, camera both front and back are inferior to the Note. The battery life in the iPhone is on par at best with the Note probably worse under heavy use and not 1.5 times faster. The whole battery package is far superior on the Note too, wireless and fast charging. Three, the Note is far better optimised for the bigger screen, the iPhone is not much more than a stretched smaller iPhone. There are many more reasons but these alone are enough to justify the Note being the best larger screened phone and by some way.

Here you go with your fuking facts again. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT FACTS! The iPhone is the best b/c the ads told them so. Just look at celebrity selfies, always an iPhone so it HAS to be the best, right? If I buy an iPhone I can be just like them.

I don't game on my phone. I also like using the S-Pen A LOT. The Note 5 is even better now that you can write immediately on the screen even when the phone's screen is not turned on (useful for taking quick notes). Samsung Pay is a KILLER app, much better implementation than both Apple Pay and Android Pay/Google Wallet, especially since it works on Mag stripe readers. There are other features as well, but these 2 features alone for me makes my Note 5 a no-brainer to own.

Truedat. Samsung dropped the ball with using a 6 month old chip. It's a shame that the best chip of android is not even close to what Apple has done.

You mean what powerVR has done.

19. TyrionLannister unregistered

Kinda. But then again, powerVR hasn't done something miraculous. The Mali T880 is more powerful and so is the Nvidia maxwell GPU. The powerVR GPU kills the others as it's a 6 months newer GPU compared to adreno 430 and a full year over the Mali T760.

"It's not bad by any strech, rather it's quite capable but it's just not iPhone 6s(plus) level. Framerates still drop in games like GTA." Really? The frame rates in GTA don't drop on my Note 5. Furthermore, if you're going off benchmarks, the Note 5 is pushing quad HD....not full HD. This affects those scores. To underestimate the Note 5's GPU would be naive. Every graphically intensive game I have from Google Play right now looks beautiful and the frame rates are fantastic. I traded in an iphone 6 Plus for my Note 5 and haven't regretted it yet. It actually gives you a reason to get a phablet......it's not just an enlarged Galaxy S6 like the iphone. To me, Apple's IOS is just boring, Google Android's customizing is what I like.

The Note5 is the best smartphone for 2015. Better and bigger screen, better camera (front and back), betting build, S pen is unmatched, true multitasking with multi window and more, fast charging, wireless charging and fast wireless charging. The iPhone 6s Plus is not a bad phone. Benchmarks are great but you'll never notice the difference in real world usage. 3D touch is the biggest selling point but it is only available on a handful of Apps. Next year will be the true showdown. Apple is currently working on wireless charging and hopefully they'll get rid of the 16GB base model. The iPhone 7 may also be water and dust proof but they need to figure out the over heating issue.

Agreed. I had a 6s up until yesterday and I was on the fence on choosing between the 6s plus and the note 5. Once I got to the apple store to return my 6s I knew I wanted the note 5. The 6s plus is really great but at the end of the day its just a bigger version of the with zero use of that 5.5 inch display and that is why I couldn't go with it. I was just thinking of how much more you can do on the note. Also 3d touch is fun right now, but honestly it is not useful ( at the moment). Go to iPhone forums and many users will tell you that they don't use it and some even turn it off. Right now its more fun than useful but it will unleash its true potential with the iPhone 7 and the release of IOS10 as I expect apple to integrate 3Dtouch more in the OS. between a galaxy s 6 and a 6s I would choose the 6s. between a 6s plus and a note 5 I would choose the note.

Having an edge+ for about a month already, absolutely NO issues so far. The first for a samsung device in my opinion. The phone is superb. All the haters, hold one in your hand, and an iPhone 6s+ in the other to see the difference for yourselves.

Everyone will be happy with the smartphone you want but there is no reason to say that the note 5 to the edge s6 plus phanble than those of the year by far cuter than the iPhone design, the camera is still better and mode pro or talk, fast loading, 2k display and the battery still lasts as much or more. You can not ask for more Sammy did an excellent job.

Samsung as made people so Worried about Damaging the Note 5 or S6 Edge by using Fragile Glass,When you investing so much for phone then it gest Broken so Easy,is just shows that Samsung must not have done a Proper Drop Test on there Glass phones,so hope the Future Galaxy S7 can offer a much Stronger Glass that is Harder to Damage

30. TerryTerius unregistered

Short of using sapphire glass, they are already using the strongest available glass on the market for the note 5 & S6 Edge+. It's kind of out of their hands what is and isn't available on the market... Though Corning is supposedly working on something superior to Sapphire glass, but I've no idea when it'll be available.
