Samsung unveils its high-end W2019 Android clamshell, powered by the Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform
Samsung has officially announced the latest version of its high-end Android powered clamshell phone, the W2019. Pre-orders will be accepted starting tomorrow, November 11th. As usual, the pricing is insane with the unit carrying 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage priced at the equivalent of $2,732 USD. Word of the unveiling came from GizmoChina, which mentioned the handset's internal and external 4.2-inch Super AMOLED internal displays. Both feature a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution.

There is a fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone, and Android 8.1 Oreo is pre-installed. The good news, if you live in the states, is that you won't be able to spend all of that money for a form factor that is outdated. The W2019 is going to be offered only by China Unicom. Besides, the only folding Android powered Samsung handset that U.S. consumers care about is the one that the company teased at its Developer Conference last week.
