Samsung, retailers continue to discount Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ prior to Galaxy Note 8 unveiling

Samsung plans on reverting to its usual methods of pricing before the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is launched, an event that reportedly will take place on September 15th. In order to help Samsung lighten its inventory of merchandise prior to the release of its high-end phablet, prices for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ will continue to decline through various sales and promotions.

For example, Amazon and Best Buy will both sell you the unlocked Galaxy Note 8 for $574.99, a $150 or 21%  haircut off the original retail price. Best Buy will give you more color options than Amazon, so you might want to check out the big box retailer first. Best Buy also has some deals in place for carrier branded Galaxy S8 models. Sprint and Verizon subscribers can save $400 and $300 respectively, and AT&T has a BOGO going on. If the bigger Galaxy S8+ has more appeal to you, the same $150 off is available from all of the previously mentioned sellers. With the price break, the Galaxy S8+ can be yours for $674.99.

An even better deal for an unlocked Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ comes from Samsung. Not only will the manufacturer give you $150 off the price of either model, consumers can trade-in a working handset to receive an additional $150 off the price of either phone.

Keep in mind that any one of these deals and promotions can change in a heartbeat. Check in often for the latest deals pertaining to Samsung's 2017 flahship models.
