Lenovo Z5 disappoints: revealed with display notch and Snapdragon 636

Specifically, the Lenovo Z5 boasts a 6.2-inch display with a 1080p resolution and, despite the top and bottom bezel situation, the Chinese company still boasted that the side bezels are thinner than those featured on the iPhone X and Xiaomi Mi 8 – the notch isn't as big either. As an added extra, many of you may remember the rumored 95% screen-to-body ratio. Well, in actual fact, Lenovo is now claiming 90%. Turning the phone over, the Z5 follows the recent dual-camera trend, by including two 16-megapixel sensors on the rear that are enhanced through AI technology. Also, in terms of the selfie lens, Lenovo has included an 8-megapixel lens.

Moving on to the internal side of things, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 is present. This is then coupled with 6GB of RAM and the choice of either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. But, what happened to the 4TB of storage? You may be asking. Well, turns out it was just a regular desktop hard disk that was announced alongside the phone. On an extra note, Lenovo has revealed that the device will eventually be upgraded to Android P – It runs Android 8.1 Oreo straight out of the box – while a 3,300mAh battery is also included.

For those of you who may still be interested in the Lenovo Z5, it’s worth noting that sales commence on June 12 in China, with the 64GB model costing $200 and the 128GB alternative setting customers back $280. However, when it comes to an international release, Lenovo is yet to specify any details.
