Why do you guys at phonearena never mention the fact that Apples biggest problem with foldables, is not the hardware, or sourcing the parts. Apples biggest problem when it comes foldables, is all of their existing apps. All of the existing iPhone and iPad apps have to change in order to accomodate both screen sizes, and being able to rechange the screen size when the user folds, and unfolds their device. Android has now had over 7 years of foldable devices, and its app ecosystem and its developers, now widely embraced foldable device hardware. There is now tons of apps that support foldable devices today. With Apple there is NO apps that currently support any foldable hardware.

Apple can't even crush it with a regular phone and somehow you think they will crush on foldable.

Their marketing will crush it making ppl believe it's amazing

They only waited for samsung to come out with 7 foldables lmao.Haven't had an iPhone since 2012. Apple has been behind for years, copy and pasting the same phone. It's honestly astonishing how people think they're the best thing ever,But hey,If it helps you sleep at night then that's understandable.

Don't forget that Apple has an app issue when it comes to foldable devices. Apps have to be designed for foldables. All of Apples existing apps have to be rewritten in order to take advantage. Plus apps have work in both phone mode, and be able to switch over to tablet mode as well. That is why Apple has to wait so long. People just majically think that all apps are going to work in both iPhone mode, and iPad mode, and Phonearena doesn't want to even mention these facts.

You always say that and it just isn't true.

Devs who make apps for IOS will simply have to do the exact same thing they had to do with Android.

Android apps did not magically scale to fit a folding screen. The bitmap pages have to be resized and the elements on the page have to be moved so that some are on one side and the rest on the other.

IPhone apps will always fit the front display so that isn't an issue either.

For my school district, apps that I have made custom for them are exactly what I had to do with the app I designed for them. Android by default will scale an app to a resolution that will best fit the screen. But it will be pixelated, many elements will be out of place. You simply open the app in the SDK and you move your elements to a better position based on the actual size of the screen.

For most apps this is a simple task. For games it is a bit different. But once Apple confirms the screen resolution, devs can work on making changes prior to the phone release and they can have an updated version waiting.

It appears that you may be mistaken about my intentions or the opinions of others here. I am not prone to making unfounded statements. Unlike some individuals who express opinions without personal experience or knowledge, I base my remarks on my own usage of Android devices. Therefore, my criticism of Android is not based on reading online opinions but rather on my direct experience with the platform.
