For Apple to surpass its competition in the current market, it is relatively straightforward to develop a high-quality foldable device, such as the Fold 7, and integrate an operating system like iPadOS onto it. This strategy would likely render any competing devices obsolete. Currently, iPadOS, with its latest update, stands as the most efficient multitasking device available, surpassing any Android-based alternatives. Consequently, Apple’s path to success appears to be relatively straightforward at this juncture.

A foldable iPhone will sell like hotcakes only because the iSheep are trapped in that ecosystem and desperately yearn for what Android users have been enjoying for YEARS. Look at the hype over a "glass" theme from a decade ago. 😂

There's no point; they can't see past iOS. Just look at the "passes" Apple gets from the #iSheep. At this point, bugs, overheating, and falsely advertising a 90Hz refresh rate when they market 120Hz are all considered okay. No big deal all is OK. In my opinon this is the best time to be an android user.

I don't care what anybody says I can see why people like iPhones because they're simple but for me having no real multitasking is a big issue and it's something even the pixel fold gets wrong how can I have this ginormous screen and I'm only able to have two apps open at a time while on the Samsung I can have three of them open plus floating windows on top Samsung software is just Superior

Your claim Apple was waiting for the Fold 7 is total fantical lame excuses for Apple being behind.

What actually Apple is waiting for was simple. As Foldables evolve, obviously things get better over time. With so many oems making phones and Samsung is pretty much the sole provider of those screens. The more oems that by them, the cheaper they cost which means to will allow Apple to charge an arm an a leg for a fold that will have similar capability only to the Fold 3 is that, and it will cost as much or more vs the Fold 7. At $1800 the Fold probably costs about $580ish to make expecting that Samsung will charge it's its actual cost to make.

$400 of that costs is the SoC and 3 displays.

Apple is looking to get a deal on the folding display and with so many oems using it, they will get a price they want so they can get a huge profit off the crazy people who even buy folding phones.

You are assuming Apple's folding phones will just crush the Fold 7? There aren't that many 1st gen devices that just crush something that has already been out for years.

Of course Apple fans mouth is watering for a folding phone, just like it was for a big phone; but they will wait until someone else makes it popular and cheaper and they swoop in and enjoy the profits knowing the sheep will wait and just buy from them. Because Apple made sure many things stay exclusive to their products and if you leave, you lose almost all of it.

But 7 years is a long wait, don't you think? It's like they purposely tech starve you so when they finally make the move when it is convenient for them, you all get fleeced again.

What they are making won't be better, it will just be familiar.

Only has to be strong if you have competition. Apple has iOS. They have zero to ever rush anything. To many Apple users because all they used or have ever used, have no idea what other devices are capable of.

So anything Apple device will do will be new to them and they will eat it up. It could be a decade old concept and people won't care until Apple has it because they have trained them to be that because they have zero choice.

Samsung or Google actually have to compete because they have others using Android too. They all fighting for the scraps of attention. Samsung is the leader and the one to try to be like or beat.

Samsung has sold the most folding devices so far. And considering how much Apple device is probably going to cost, they gonna want $2000 for a device is am betting won't even be better than the Fold 3.

Unless Apple brings over all the features of the iPad to it, it will lack any substance above what the iPhone does now. And even then, it will still be less capable vs existing similar devices.

You sound like Apple when they made their 1st watch, while Samsung wad already on their 3rd. They promised a whole bunch of things and it ended up being worse than Samsung's 1st gen devices.

Why don't you just wait until it gets here, let's see what it will have as hardware features and then software vs making some click bait assumptions.

Every year you all make to many baseless assumptions about Apple. Even after always being disappointed you keep writing their failures off with lame excuses.

Wait. What? What capabilities are on iPad OS 26 that Android tablets are already doing?

Can you please be specific.

The last time I checked, many of them features that just rolled out. Example. Android had been able to fully support using a mouse for years. When Apple finally 1st brought that to the iPad, it was limited with what you could do with it. For an OS, who is based off their desktop OS.

How can Apple gets this wrong.

Now I do agree with you 100% that for Apple to be competitive yes they most certainly do need to bring the iPad OS capabilities in software to their folding devices. And I am positive they will.

But for you to claim thwt what Apple has done is better than what's been available on Android tablets for several years now is where yoi went from being smart to dumb.

I want you to think back, you remember what Apple said about the Surface? They said it short, it was terrible at being a tablet or a laptop. Yet the iPad is worse. It just has high sales because well if you use a Mac or an iPhone, then getting an iPad only makes sense.

How is it the iPad never had windowing apps? Why can't you use a mouse? Took too long to support a Stylus. Took too long to be used as a 2nd display.

Now you wanna say that iPad OS 26 will be better than any else available is pure fantasy.

Have you use the Tab 9 Ultra? The 10 and now the 11? The only tablet that Surpasses it doesn't run Android, it runs Windows. Even with its new features, the iPad still is less capable vs the Tab Ultra. DEX along blows the iPad out the water. I can tirelessly connect to almost any TV and it doesn't need AirPlay.

Apple is only catching up and all of a sudden you think this exceeds existing stuff? Gosh you how much alcohol is you putting in that kool-aid?

Every reviewer said that IPADOS26 made the ipad the best tablet out the best multitasking machine available today. They also said its like having a mac inside the ipad they said it not me. Every time u say something your completely wrong so go do some research then come back and talk.

I don't think they are patiently waiting for anything other than timing the market the best they can so they can squeeze the absolute most money out of their users who want a foldable and when it will best benefit their bottom line. It will show up when they "want" the bump and headlines to benefit THEM the most.

It's all about profit margin. Apple can make a fold phone the same time as Samsung if they want to but the profit margin would be marginal. Apple customers will get it when Apple says they can.
