A foldable iPhone will sell like hotcakes only because the iSheep are trapped in that ecosystem and desperately yearn for what Android users have been enjoying for YEARS. Look at the hype over a "glass" theme from a decade ago. 😂
For Apple to surpass its competition in the current market, it is relatively straightforward to develop a high-quality foldable device, such as the Fold 7, and integrate an operating system like iPadOS onto it. This strategy would likely render any competing devices obsolete. Currently, iPadOS, with its latest update, stands as the most efficient multitasking device available, surpassing any Android-based alternatives. Consequently, Apple’s path to success appears to be relatively straightforward at this juncture.
Wait. What? What capabilities are on iPad OS 26 that Android tablets are already doing?
Can you please be specific.
The last time I checked, many of them features that just rolled out. Example. Android had been able to fully support using a mouse for years. When Apple finally 1st brought that to the iPad, it was limited with what you could do with it. For an OS, who is based off their desktop OS.
How can Apple gets this wrong.
Now I do agree with you 100% that for Apple to be competitive yes they most certainly do need to bring the iPad OS capabilities in software to their folding devices. And I am positive they will.
But for you to claim thwt what Apple has done is better than what's been available on Android tablets for several years now is where yoi went from being smart to dumb.
I want you to think back, you remember what Apple said about the Surface? They said it short, it was terrible at being a tablet or a laptop. Yet the iPad is worse. It just has high sales because well if you use a Mac or an iPhone, then getting an iPad only makes sense.
How is it the iPad never had windowing apps? Why can't you use a mouse? Took too long to support a Stylus. Took too long to be used as a 2nd display.
Now you wanna say that iPad OS 26 will be better than any else available is pure fantasy.
Have you use the Tab 9 Ultra? The 10 and now the 11? The only tablet that Surpasses it doesn't run Android, it runs Windows. Even with its new features, the iPad still is less capable vs the Tab Ultra. DEX along blows the iPad out the water. I can tirelessly connect to almost any TV and it doesn't need AirPlay.
Apple is only catching up and all of a sudden you think this exceeds existing stuff? Gosh you how much alcohol is you putting in that kool-aid?

An ecosystem without a strong AI is not a strong ecosystem.
