CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company) released a Windows Phone version of its official mobile app for the Olympic Games in Sochi. Called CBC Sochi 2014, it allows fans of the Olympic Games that sport a Windows Phone device to watch all sports events live on their smartphones. The app will provide "live streaming of all Olympic competitions", as well as "video on demand".

Once the Olympic Games commence, users will be able to view more than 20 hours of live CBC coverage of the big sports event every day. Various highlights will be available in a separate category and will only show you the most interesting news of the day. If you are only interested in the medal count and the overall results, CBC Sochi 2014 has got you covered – the app will provide you with the latest info about the winners in the various sport events. The performance of the Canadian athletes can be observed in real time, too.

Of course, CBC Sochi 2014 will also provide fans of the Olympic Games with an event guide, which will feature detailed information about the program schedule on CBC. CBC Sochi 2014 is completely free to use, but is ad-supported. The app is also available on Android and iOS devices.
