While it's true that 37 seconds isn't time enough to view all of the new features coming with Windows Phone 7.8, a video teaser of the updated OS doing its thing on a Nokia Lumia 900 does show the re-sizable live tiles in action. That is one of the most anticipated changes coming with the update and copies the functionality available on the new Windows Phone 8 handsets. The video also shows a new Xbox icon.
Just the other day, Microsoft confirmed that Windows Phone 7.8 would be released sometime early next year. While a complete list of Windows powered devices receiving the update has not been released, you have to like Microsoft's statement that the update will be sent out to "as many devices as possible." Hopefully, that includes yours.
The update is surely welcome for my Lumia 900, but is it just me or does this tile resizing feature seem extremely standard and like a days work at Microsoft? We're still being limited to a set amount of colors and only 3 sizes, I'm underwhelemed.
