Verizon's system now shows HTC Incredible
A major sign has been spotted that tells us that Verizon's launch of the HTC Incredible is imminent. The Android flavored handset now seems to be included on the CelleBrite machine that carriers use to transfer information-like contacts-from one phone to another. When a model shows up on the CelleBrite, it usually means that a launch is very close. There is the occasional faulty signal, like when the BlackBerry Tour2 9650 showed up on the CelleBrite back in January. But for the most part, this is good news for Verizon customers who have been waiting for another HTC Android model to hit Big Red's line-up. This info dovetails perfectly with the story we recently reported that Verizon has the units in its warehouse and is all set to launch the phone.

My understanding is Blackberry Tour 2 shipped to stores and then all units were shipped back.

AGREED, BIGGEST FAIL STORY EVER. CELLEBRITE shows phones for ALL CARRIERS and updates frequently.

So, what is this HTC A61XX Magic?

The HTC Magic was released on Vodaphone last May of 2009 I think. I'm pretty sure it's discontinued now. Not sure if it ever made it to the states. It was similar to the G1 without a keyboard.

I forgot to mention, that I think it was relabeled as the Mytouch 3G for Tmobile here in the states.

Do the first reponse was correct. Cellbrite is not vzw. Don't know why they don't edit their articles better.
