Verizon's Equipment Guide for the Samsung GALAXY Nexus reflects delay in launch

It's hard to believe that this could happen and we are sure that emotions have gone from skyhigh to rock bottom in just a few short hours. On the other hand, we have no idea yet how long this delay might take and it is always better to buy a phone that is working perfectly instead of having to put up with whatever bugs are ailing the device.

RAZR if anything. I'll give it another couple weeks.

Verizon is pissing me off. They've had test devices for at least a month, there's no reason for this to happen.

Well Verizon extended the return period until January 15th... seeing as how my Thunderbolt is busted up i'll probably be doing the same thing.

My emotions are just fine. I didn't expect it to come out this week, not one bit. How could they launch a phone without even giving a release date 3 days before launch?
This is a circus. A snafu. It's all catawampus.

I just called the local Verizon store (Tacoma), and the rep says the Nexus is already there and the release date is still Friday.

That's it. We're being trolled. There's no such thing as a Galaxy Nexus; it's all a ruse!
I figured this would happen. Who the hell releases a phone and doesn't announce it even a couple days before it goes out? Until Verizon officially gives the PUBLIC an official release date, no one should get their hopes up.
When was the first leaked release date? Wasn't it at the end of freakin' OCTOBER?
My feelings of betrayal will only be assuaged by Verizon selling this phone for under $200. Bastards.
I've heard 2 reasons for the delay: 1) there's a problem with the part of the band (I think that's the word?) this phone will be operating on because Verizon didn't follow some rule correctly, or 2) 4G isn't working properly and they want to wait to release the phone until 4G is back up.
I doubt it's legitimately reason #2. I'm skeptical enough to wonder if they wouldn't just down 4G for a few days as a convenient excuse.....

I can't wait much longer to chuck this EnV2 out my car while traveling at high speeds!!
(ok, so I'll actually just recycle it, but chucking it would be very satisfying...)

The stores have the Nexus in stock...I've seen one with my own eyes, I went this morning to buy mine, the rep pulled it out of the cupboard sat the white box next to his keyboard, started typing, made a phone call, and told me that he can't sell it to me yet...and that he will send me a text as soon as he hears the release date...
