Swype opens final beta version to Android users for a limited time
As we reported yesterday, Swype has now opened its door one last time, for Android users only, releasing a final beta version of its swipe to type keyboard. However, the doors will be open for a limited time only, with support for English, Spanish and Italian with more languages coming. There will be limited features because some of the tools and tricks that Swype does requires integration from your phones manufacturer. To add Swype to your phone, go to the source link and send an e-mail address that you can read via your mobile phone and you will receive a link to install the application. If your phone already comes pre-loaded with the software, do not bother to get this beta version. Those of you who received the previous beta version of Swype, you will soon lose the download as it times out, and the company suggests you visit the web site (again, at the source link) and re-install the new beta version.

Like the new Swype now that it's recognizing my words again, took a few days to stop making recommendations everytime I swyped a word though

I got a replacement Droid that came pre-loaded with Swype. I previously had the beta version of Swype on my old phone. When I got the e-mail to update today, I uninstalled my Swype and tried to install the new beta, but kept getting a msg that it was expired. I did a search online and found out that the beta update was NOT for the pre-loaded version. How do I get the pre-loaded version back or any version for that matter? It's not in the Marketplace. Thanks! Android 2.2 - Moto Droid
