Specs for the Huawei Y6 Scale surface; entry-level model to be priced around $165 USD

Rumored specs have appeared for a new entry-level offering named the Huawei Y6 Scale. The handset has not yet been officially introduced by the manufacturer, but is expected to feature a 5-inch screen with a 720 x 1280 resolution. That works out to a pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood will be the Snapdragon 210 chipset, which carries a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 304 GPU. 1GB of RAM is inside along with 8GB of expandable storage.

The rear-facing camera on the Huawei Y6 Scale weighs in at 8MP. For selfie snappers there is a 2MP camera that graces the front of the device. The generator keeps humming thanks to a 2200mAh battery. Android 5.0 is  pre-installed with Huawei's Emotion UI running on top.

The Huawei Y6 Scale will support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The plastic-clad unit measures 8.3mm thick, so it shouldn't be the brick that some other entry-level handsets are. Hopefully, Huawei will disseminate some official information about the phone before July 30, which is when it is expected to be launched. The device is rumored to be priced at the equivalent of $165 USD.

Thanks for the tip
