Nokia in talks with Microsoft about using Windows Phone 7?
Despite Nokia's apparent reliance on Symbian^3 and Meego, could it be that the new blood at the manufacturer has done a better job looking at where Nokia's current OS stands in comparison to iOS, Android and Windows Phone 7? A new management team might be better prepared to be honest about what changes Nokia needs to reverse the current slide in market share.
Even long time Nokia users have been on the ball, hoping that the firm could take high-end hardware like the Nokia N8 and release it with a more user friendly OS like Android or Windows Phone 7. If this report does turn out to be true, it could open up a whole new customer base for Nokia.

Yes it would attract the common fag/isheep/fandroid/WinPo fans but those fags have their locked down/fake open skinned on top inconsistent fragmented crap OS'es from cheap plastic galaxy type phones
Nokia's always kept the based functions of their OS'es top Notch, the after Sales services you get from a Nokia weather its the N95 or N8, Ovi Maps, Nokia Messaging, Ovi Cloud services are second to none
they would never pick up half ready OS like Windows Phone 7, these 'rumors' are just a desperate cry from isheep/fandroid/WinPo fags cause every iOS/Android/WinPo7 (except for Dell Venue Pro, that phones mad) are cheap phones even the aluminum used on the Desire HD feels cheap as hell
Nokia's fans arn't fags, thats the best thing about Nokia. Dont worry fags Nokia's not going anywhere near your ga.y OS'es.
Meego's gonna rip through everything.

Yeah, buy a phone with a hardware which was modern when you mother was born, and software which utilizes 12 squares and hundreds of rectangles. Nice idea... if we were in the end of 1990s.

they aren't... they may just want to increase their phone lines and bring some other type of customers

Nokia is also in talks with Google about Android - this means nothing, just preliminary talks. They are exploring their options. Honestly, WP7 has the best UI out there, and if Nokia wants to adopt it in the year or so before their "amazing" MeeGo version is fully baked, that's great - of course, it will mean 1GHz CPUs and 5MP cams at least, so this won't happen until the summer at least...

Martuzin is trying to mess in nokia business -we know why. This is stupid because everyone knows that only one system now my help nokia-android. I prefer symbian 3 over android 2.3 or 3.0 or 10.0-symply because symbian gives freedom-i may do what i want -like in computer. If some have problems with browser -install opera! This is simply heh?

who is this zylam bitch, he talks as if nokia owns his mamma and his daddy got some bitchass whopppin
make fun of dell cos they are coming up but not up to the mark but nevertheless their venue pro is to be respected. now anyone who reads this knows as shit that nokias hardware or software or anything never compares to samsung or the heavenly iphone. nokia provides nice after sales though but nowadays others too dude. its 2010 for gawds sake.
nokias superfast 687mHz processor cant handle low lag os like symbian^3 then where the hell will it draw power to run a windows 7 powerhouse.and the 256 mb ram is just pathetic. in the age where lg and samsung are now coming out with 2 ghz processor and 1 gb ram. and iphone 5 probably will be far superior as theyre reinventing the ios design.
now please sell ur nokia and try samsung wave or galaxy s for once, or goto nexus s and ull understand why daddy left u and why ur so angry at all of us who have faced reality and moved away frm nokia.
i like nokia they made some good phones but now their age has gone with iphone and galaxy here but if a windows 7 phone of nokia with 1 gb ram and 2 ghz processor comes along with a retina or super amoled screen then i will definitely buy it cos nokias amoled screen looks worse than a plain lcdin s40 phones.

Im currently using symbian^3 @ N8 and i wouldn´t change it for other OS no matter what. I was really surprised how big improvement over S^1 on my previous X6 it is. It really is a different experience, no matter what u might read in some reviews. And actually WP7 would be really bad choice, considering how much it limits it's users.

I've had the Nokia N95 8GB and it had symbian and that was great!
But Symbian on touchscreen phones is really the worst OS in eye-candy and user friendliness.
Ok it's a great OS in what it can, like multi-tasking for example... But I guess almost everyone agrees that Symbian looks really old and outdated in comparison to iOS and Android.
Now NOKIA introduces Symbian^3, and there's almost no difference with the old Symbian S60 5th. The only few things they have changed/added are things that should have already been there for years!!
But to stay on topic, I would choose Symbian over WP7 though!! I mean, WP7 limits it's users so damn much! No expandable memory, no multi-tasking or copy/paste (so far), and everything goes via Zune (like everything goes via iTunes on iOS)... Etc etc etc...
So IF Nokia wants to put a 2nd OS on their phones, pleas go for Android, not WP7. Android limits NOTHING! Nokia can put their own skin on it if they want, you can use memory cards, bluethooth file transfer without the need of software, copy/paste, ...
Can you imagine a HTC Desire HD with the Nokia N8's camera? Damn that's my dream!

I wouldn´t like Nokia to use WP7....Meego is the future for the high-end phones, and symbian the best open source OS. Symbian might look a bit outdated but I do with it what nobody can do with Android,iOS or WP7. Furthermore there are a bunch of updates coming to Symbian 3 and eventually it will become Symbian 4.
Just follow these links:http: //www.engadget.com/2010/07/17/first-real-symbian-4-screen-shots-emerge/

I have a N900 and love the Maemo OS. If Meego is as good as I have seen, then WP7 must be for lower end phones you can purchase at a store on contract. Im waiting for the Nokia N9 with Meego.

yes I think symbian is better than ios. some of the very basic features of cell phone are still missing just for example in ios. my bro's iphone 4.2 cant manage a group of contacts? how can i send an sms to group of people? nokia has everything. other big flaw in iphone is that you cant even send sound or video or anything other than a picture through MMS? :S what the hell is this?

well this is great.... but im not into WP7... but this will be a good thing for nokia. i hope they should release some Android phones too... so that flexibility(which matters most) will be there.

Nokia will use MeeGo OS and Symbian OS along with their feature phones which will battle out those iOS, Android, WP7, Bada, webOS, other feature phones, and others.
Please stop this kind of news that Nokia will use other crap OSes. I want to see people to eat those words if Nokia would release their first Meego OS powered smartphone.
