Microsoft's Office Suite for Android updated with Lens support and improved sharing

Microsoft has quietly pushed a new update for its Android apps included in the Office Suite. It's not the biggest update the developer released, but it brings a couple of interesting improvements for those who often use Office on their Android devices.

The Office Suite comprises three separate apps: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Each has been updated with new features, but changelogs are slightly different.

For example, Word for Android now features Office Lens functionality, which allows users to capture, clean up and crop pictures of a whiteboard and add them to their documents.

PowerPoint got a similar new feature, but the cropped pictures can be added to slides instead. The application also received improved share features, such as the option to send a single slide from a presentation to others rather than send the whole document.

Last but not least, Excel has a very short changelog that mentions users can now open files that contain form controls. However, you won't be able to interact with them on your Android devices, you can just open and read them.

All three updates have already been released in the Google Play Store, so make sure to check for them if you want to benefit from the new improvements.
