Huawei introduced its “flagship killer,” the Honor 8 in China, the United States and Europe in a matter of a few weeks. Today, Huawei announced that one of its most anticipated Android smartphones is finally available for purchase in the United States.
While this isn't really a flagship smartphone, it's a decent alternative to some of the most expensive handset available on the market. Currently, the Honor 8 can be purchased in the United States for $399 outright. However, in order to celebrate the launch of the smartphone in the country, Huawei is running a limited-time promotion that shaves $50 off the retail price.
This means that, for a limited time, customers will be able to purchase the Huawei Honor 8 for just $349. Keep in mind that if you want to take advantage of the promotion, you will have to apply the coupon code H8PREREG at checkout.
One of the most good-looking smartphones launched by Huawei, the Honor 8 offers a premium look for a mid-range price. Hardware-wise, the handset is quite decent as well thanks to the octa-core Kirin 950 processor clocked at 2.3GHz and 4GB of RAM.
In addition, Huawei Honor 8 sports a 5.2-inch display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. It packs plenty of storage inside (32GB), but users can expand internal memory up to 256GB via microSD card.
The 12-megapixel dual-camera setup on the back is another reason to get excited, though it doesn't wear the Leica brand like the Huawei P9's camera. For those who like to take selfies more often than not, the Chinese company added an 8-megapixel camera in the front that features LED flash.

The Honor 8 is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Emotion UI 4.1 on top. Since this is a rather high-end device, there's a high chance than Huawei will provide an Android Nougat upgrade at some point in the future.
