Why will Apple be stronger than any Android selling company

GoxyPPF 03 Feb 2012, 10:03 posted on

The battle between ios and android phones has been legendary since it's creation. First apple showed up with it's brand new iphone OS in 2007 and made a revolution in mobile world, where, at the time, Sony Ericsson was on the top of the game. It showed everything that phones could do, and what they aren't.

And in the same year, google showed up, with it's OS that they acquired that wasn't as good as iphone OS (at the time). HTC was the first company that incorporated android platform to it's phones, and they are getting better from month to month, from year to year.

Now, after some history, let me get to the point. I'm saying this because in the last few moths i'm baffled. The quantity of android phones that are coming out from various manufacturers is insane. Samsung announced at least 4 high end handsets in the last two months, HTC also. Not to mention Motorola, which came out with it's great phone Droid Razr, and the came out a few months after that with Droid Razr Maxx. With only better battery life. Now, i'm not saying that it is bad, but everyone that bought high end phones a few months ago, now feel cheated because their high end handset is not "high end" anymore. And apple, while they have very expensive products, they at least give their customers high end phone for a year. And i think that that is better than shipping out dozens of phones in a year.

I have middle range Android handset - Alcatel OT 990, and i also have iPod touch 4g. I wanted to see the difference between those two platforms. And the difference is huge. I know that Alcatel has weaker processor, and less memory, and smaller resolution, but the quality of apps in App store, and quantity of those are astounding.

And i say that even though android gets better and better and their manufacturers bump up the specs all the time, Apple, with its iPhone, will beat the competition and Android platform, because the sensation that they give to its customers, and great apps that run beautifully on those hand sets.

I just wanted to express my thoughts about why Apple is better than it's competitors in phone category.

P.S. I really hate iTunes, do you? :)

I know why apple will be stronger than android. Apple tries to ban all android phones that will out sell and that are way better than they're crappy iphones which has no changeable battery or memory card and a wimpy 800mhz cpu. How Stupid! Guess they will do anything to keep others from putting out a better product! Apple, get a life and just make a better phone. I personally would never buy they're junk especially the way they try to screw other phone companies. Have several friends that have dropped them too. Guess they are starting to run scared and getting desperate huh?

So because Apple "tries to ban all android phones" they will be stronger? And, by the way, it's "their" not "they're."

If you want to criticize, then do it in an intelligible way.

The Android market is distributed, that's why. It's like Fox being No. 1 cable "news" because all the maniacs, and there are a lot of them, are watching it while normal people are watching all the many other channels. Once AT&T put the Samsung Galaxy SIII on its 4GLTE network here in Austin, I RAN to get it. As a graphics designer it has been a lifesaver for sending large files to printers when I’m mobile.

Well, the reason why apple is winning is because Jobs have created a world for lazy users to live in, where we don't need to think nor worry of anything. And Apple has never stopped telling their civil that its danger out side the wall, where there are always people trying to steal from you and you will be in danger if you don't listen to us. And people fell for that.
For Android users, we always worried of our phone if its in danger of been hacked or apps stealing info when purchase, so many people switched to apple when they get tired of it.

The problem with "android", at least from the perspective I think you are coming from, is that the market is fragmented. Not just between phone companies, but within the product lines of the companies themselves. Samsung has several versions of the "galaxy" line, which I never have understood. "Galaxy S5", "Galaxy S5 active", etc. Apple, on the other hand, produces the "iPhone." They put everything in to making the experience user friendly and smooth.

They also control the production chains to such an extent that they can squeeze larger profit margins out of each product than most (if not all) other companies.

The thing with Apple phones are is that they are marketed better than any other phone brand out there. They sell like crazy and people worship Apple. However, I wouldn't be so quick to assume that Apple will be stronger than any Android market because they way Android's been upgrading their phones is super impressive. Who knows what they can accomplish over the next few years. It's exciting to see how both companies will unravel in the future.
