YouTube TV service goes live in five new markets in the US
The last major expansion of YouTube TV dates from December, but the service suffered a few changes in the meantime, including a price hike that increased the monthly subscription to $40.

Starting this week, it appears the customers from five new locations can access YouTube TV if they pay the $40/month subscription. The following new markets have been added to the list of regions with YouTube TV coverage:

  • Burlington
  • Champaign & Springfield-Decatur
  • Columbia, SC
  • Wichita
  • Wilkes Barre-Scranton-Hztn

Residents of these regions can now check out YouTube's premium service, which now includes additional channels like TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network and Turner Classic Movies, as well as NBA TV and the MLB Networks.

In addition, it's worth mentioning that the monthly subscription offers access to various shows from YouTube content creators and YouTube Red Originals, along with DVR without storage limits.

With the addition of the five new locations, YouTube TV is now available in nearly 100 markets across the US, but the list is expected to continue to grow in the coming months.
