Original Tomb Raider lands on Android: play as Lara Croft in her 1996 pixelized glory

'Just' a year and a half after it arrived on iOS, the original Tomb Raider game released back in 1996 for PlayStation and PC, has landed on Android's Google Play Store. Better late than never!

The game focuses on the adventures of young gun-toting archeologist Lara Croft, who travels looking for the lost city of Atlantis and explores the pyramids of Egypt. The game does not lack the retro pixelized dungeouns and the blocky face of Croft - as sad as it is - reminds us of our childhood. Climb that rock, solve that puzzle. All kidding aside, the title is a great play, a true classic offering tons of gameplay time and a lesson in gaming history at that.
