Amazon's timely deal has the Apple Watch priced as low as $199

Amazon has a great sale on the Apple Watch series 3. Normally priced on the site for $279, Amazon is cutting the price of the 38mm model by $80, or 29%, to $199. To be clear, this is the GPS version of the wearable with a silver aluminum case and a white sport band. And if you apply for an Amazon card and are approved, another $50 melts off the price bringing it down to $149.

The 42mm GPS version of the Apple Watch series 3 with a Space Gray aluminum band and a black sports band is priced at $229, an $80 or 26% discount from Amazon's usual price. And don't forget that if you ask for and receive an Amazon credit card, another $50 is wiped off the price. That would take this timepiece down to $179. Shipping is free for both models.

Keep in mind that this is not the latest series 4 version of the timepiece. That means that this model does not feature an edge-to-edge display, nor does it have the electrocardiogram (ECG) found on the latest version of the watch. The ECG looks for abnormal heart rhythms that could be Atrial fibrillation (AFib). This could lead to blood clots, stroke, and heart failure. Also, since both models are of the GPS variant, you will need to have your iPhone with you to use certain features. On the other hand, you won't have to pay a monthly fee for cellular connectivity.
