As an owner of almost every model from the s3 which I still have :) i can say I can't stand what samsung has done over the years the decline happend around the s5. #1 First thay took away removabal batterys saying it was for waterproofing we all know that's a lie the true reason is so you upgrade sooner than later

#2. Thay took away the 3.5 jack saying it makes the phone more waterproof and gives more room for processor we all know that to be part true plus a lie at the same time because thay. Also released 300$ Bluetooth earbuds to sell ya .

#3 thay put glass backed phones out that why if you drop it your surely doomed $$$

#4 thay made the new s pin on the 25 ultra non blootooth cheaper !!!

#5 ai is now included on the phones and is hard for the average user to remove, as an adult give the ability for use to remove if we don't want it

Most daily users don't need to make fake wallpapers of your real pictures lol also ai is around 8 gigs of space it's woowwww!!

#6 usbc port is only able to move 480mbps what lol trys moving 1tb of video on an s25 ultra to your laptop at that speed !! Thay have not updated the speed in like 8 years

The only saveing grace is the camera

I have never cared about how they look. I care about what they can do and whether or not that is useful for me.

Until Samsung brings back the Bluetooth s pen, I will not be purchasing another device from them. They seem to look at every successful device they have whether it be a tablet, flagship phone or watch and figure out how to make it less attractive to the market. We are not looking for the lowest price on a flagship device, we are looking for a device that has all the features we want. And Samsung just doesn't listen to its loyal customer base. 20 years of using Samsung phones and when my s24 Ultra is done, I don't know what direction I will be going but I will probably not be Samsung. Unless of course, they start listening to their consumer base and bring back the features that we all want and miss.

Not to ruin the party but thats basically every phone nowadays... If you want to avoid the inconvience just use an older phone, like I usually do as well. Removable battery is basically gone from every device now, not just phones. As for the headphone jack, sure that can be inconvienent but just purchase some cheap earbuds or headphones that are wireless and you'll be fine im sure. The usbc are definitely frustrating, but just look at the iPhone transfer speeds, they are so much slower than any other phone too.

Samsung needs to bring back the s-pen functions. Bring back the sd slot , but using the new sd cards that's in the switch 2. I wouldn't care if the phone got thicker or heavier.

I do want them to add the sd card slot back, Im pretty sure almost everyone does. However, it would be quite impractical since sd cards are getting outdated because nobody really makes new ones anymore. These cards are stuck at slow transfer speeds and are a pain to use in my opinion. I personally think they should increase the base storage on their models instead, preferably without a price hike, like how they were able to double iphone 17 storage. Samsung and google should do the same for their phones as well

Former s3, s5, s7 edge, note 9, s21 ultra and current s25 ultra user. I could not care less about these "design" issues. I would, however love user replaceable batteries and expandable memory.

If your "Iconic Phones" book doesn't have at least a 3-page spread on the Motorola Atrix and all it's accessories, you failed. Just sayin.

I'm very disappointed with the stagnation of smartphones in the last 5 years, thanks to Apple.

Losing Bluetooth in the S25U was a key moment for me, actually going backwards is worse that staying still. The 3x camera in the Ultra line has been a weakness for too long and needs to be addressed urgently.

The clearest way I can say this is that I have never gone past 2 years of ownership with a smartphone, but I'll be holding my S24U for the foreseeable future, because the S26U and probably even the S27U are not big enough improvements.

I am very tempted by the Z Fold 7, but I just can't go so far backwards with the tele camera, if they put a 50 MP 3x or 5x lens in there for the Fold 8 or 9, I might get one.

Honestly, the design choices don't bother me one way or another, considering I always use a phone case anyway.

But the integrated AI into everything is done in the most inane ways, and functions that used to work fine, don't in their AI iterations.

I have to delete my offline voice cache weekly just to be able to use voice commands to call my wife, spell check gets words wrong half the time now, and the grammar check is even worse! It tries to make conversational writing formal, and formal writing conversational or emoji filled. What the heck?!?

This is both a Samsung and Google issue... Using LLM based on Google docs and Samsung notes instead of actual dictionaries and grammar rules.

Spell check and autocorrect was actually getting good, and then it got worse than it ever was...

Brb in a chat should not autocorrect to I'll be back shortly, but it does, and I've checked my autocorrect.
