I don't plan from switching phones at the moment, but these photos make a strong statement for the Pixel which is something that I haven't considered. I would love to see a comparison of Huawei, Vivo, Xiaomi, Google, Samsung, and Apple to see which truly makes the best. I care most about zoom since I often use the zoom feature on my phones.
Here’s a perfect example of AI being put to great use—the Pixel boasts the best camera by far. The photos are stunning, with incredible detail. To those who downplay the usefulness of AI in 2025 (looking at you, #iSheep), Google just showed how valuable AI can be when applied for the right reasons. Congrats to Google! Hopefully, Samsung adopts a similar approach next year. Today, software has become far more important than hardware, and Google has been demonstrating this for years.
I mean if the results are being improved by AI... Is it REALLY the best camera by far or the best use of AI in post processing? And I'm saying this as a Pixel user... If I take a pic from my iPhone and open it in Google Photos then click the auto AI Enhance... That's kinda what the Pixel is doing automatically for each image. I'll bet if you use the Adobe LR in app camera, shoot RAW images on both the results of this comparison would look a lot different.

1 point difference in favor of iphone in photos on domark. We know hoe to read. Plus do a real ilife test, Pixel more natural and more detail. I've been Iphone user for years but this year the Pixel won. Are you a democrat by chance cause they can't read either. Both are good its what you prefer. Go Pixel.
The new Pixel relies on a massive amount of AI processing for all its images. They’re not really photos at this point. The more like highly advanced cartoons. The iPhone does not do that and if you want your iPhone photos to look like pixel photos import them into something like Topaz and let Topaz have at it.
In the end, if you really want a good photo, use a real camera, and while that might get me flamed here, facts are facts. I’ll put photos taken with an almost decade old Canon 6D Mark II with a consumer lens up against any smartphone made today and there will be no challenge presented by said smartphone. Add my R5 Mark II & an L lens to the mix and it will be 20 years before a smartphone comes close. Smartphones are great for quick memories, but no matter what you carry in your pocket it’s still never going to give you fantastic photos.
