iPhone OS 3.0 launches today

All of this sounds pretty cool, but unfortunately, users of jailbroken iPhones that choose to install the new version will end up with their devices locked. What they can do is wait until Friday, when the Dev-Team Blog is expected to release its yellowsn0w tool, which should let them unlock their OS 3.0-powered iPhones. You can find out more about the unlocking tool here.
Are you excited about the upcoming update? And what are your first impressions of the new features that come with OS 3.0? Feel free to sound off in the comments below!

You can get MMS to work on the launch of OS 3.0 by calling ATT and having them manually set it up for you. What I have noticed is if you have the family unlimited txt it shouldn't be to hard for the agent to configure it properly. Now if you have the iPhone unlimited, iPhone, 1500 or iPhone 200 msg plan then you will have to wait till later this summer. Or you can call and tell the ATT rep to just remove the iPhone MSG plan and set you up with the regular txt msg plan and then you will be able to receive the MMS msgs.

I think you can also have the agent just add a normal messaging package as opposed to the ones that show "iPhone" before them in their billing systems as well.

I'm pretty sure you can get it on your touch but have to pay $9.99. You have to update iTunes as well if you haven't done that yet but you should be able to get it.
