With inventory in control, Verizon resumes HTC Droid Incredible T.V. ads
As we reported, once the calendar turned to October, HTC turned to Sony's Super LCD display to replace the AMOLED screen on the Droid Incredible. With Samsung hogging its production of AMOLED screens for its own Android phones, Verizon found itself unable to meet the demand at launch for what was the carrier's new flagship model at the time, replacing the Motorola DROID. Soon, the Motorola DROID X was launched and those who ordered but had not received their Droid Incredible were allowed by the carrier to switch their order to the DROID X.

With the backlog all gone, Verizon has started advertising the HTC Droid Incredible again, almost like it was a new handset. In some ways it is. Besides the new screen, the phone is now sold with Android 2.2 installed out of the box which means the phone supports Adobe Flash 10.1 from the first moment your power it up. Verizon even makes a note of this by mentioning at the end of the commercial that the phone supports Flash. Plus, Big Red has started a BOGO deal with the handset. Buy an HTC Droid Incredible and get any phone free. Sounds like the Motorola DROID 2 has some serious competition at Verizon.
