Verizon iPhone antenna redesign means your AT&T cases will not fit

You have heard rumors about it, you asked for it and finally the Verizon iPhone is here. But it is not exactly the same handset that AT&T has – while the redesigned antenna might get you rid of the “death grip” issue, it also forced the volume and mute controls to be pushed slightly lower, which renders most of the current cases for the iPhone 4 useless.
Some cases have a single wider opening for both the volume buttons and the mute switch and might still do the job, but others, including Apple's own bumpers won't be a good fit. Hopefully, with the CDMA antenna's redesign, the bumper cases will not be that needed, but still take this into account if you decide to switch from AT&T.

That would explain why there have been sites that are offering Verizon iPhone 4 cases. I would've thought that since they are basically the same phones, then they would be able to use the came cases. I guess that if the antenna is redesigned, then there might be a little bit of change in the dimensions of the phone.

I don't need a case because the iPhone is very nice looking. but i may use a clear hard case. Thank god they changed the antenna on it.
