Unlocked HTC Desire 530 now available in the US
Starting this week, HTC is directly selling the Desire 530 in the US, offering it unlocked to anyone in need of a new and affordable Android smartphone. The device costs $179, and you can get it from HTC's website (check out the source link at the end of this article). At the moment, only the Sprinkle White variant of the phone is available.

First announced back in February at MWC 2016, the HTC Desire 530 has been available in other parts of the world for several months. The handset has an interesting design (including a colorful "micro splash" finish), but it's certainly not a powerful device - though that's not its purpose anyway. Sporting a 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels, the Desire 530 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor clocked at 1.1 GHz, further offering 1.5 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable storage space, and a 2200 mAh battery. Other features include an 8 MP rear camera, 5 MP front-facing camera, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Sense UI.

Earlier this month, the Desire 530 was released by T-Mobile, which is currently selling it for $6.67 per month for 24 months, or $159.99 outright. Verizon Wireless is also getting ready to launch the HTC Desire, but it's not clear exactly when this is going to happen.
