The Gresso Regal Black is a handsome titanium & gold luxury smartphone

Swiss luxury phone maker Gresso announced its latest lavishly expensive creation, the Gresso Regal Black. This is a luxury smartphone made of titanium and optional 18 karat gold. Indeed, the smartphone's unibody case is made of a grade 5 solid titanium, also used in aerospace and high-end sports cars. Machining and milling an individual case takes 8 hours, after which assembly continues by hand. The back panel gets a satin finish, and the edges on the front are manually polished. The phone's black color is obtained through PVD-coating, a process used in the making of Swiss watches.

Although luxury models can be incredibly distasteful sometimes, this one is a real looker - iPhone-reminiscent, masculine, and classy. Specs-wise, the Gresso Regal Black has a 5-inch 1080p display, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage memory, a 13MP back camera and a 5-megapixel front cam, but the lack of LTE is a major shortcoming.

The Gresso Regal Black is sold in three versions - R1 ($3000, titanium-only), R2 ($5000, 18k white gold, PVD coating), and R3 (18k yellow gold, PVD coating). Only 999 individually marked pieces of each will be sold, packaged in a black leather box that also contains a certificate of authenticity, a user manual, and a charger. Before you go on and buy five Gressos at once, do take a moment to gawk at the illustrious photos below. Pure eye candy!
